With a career that spans music radio and spoken-word formats, Mike Kinosian is known for his clarity, depth, and data-driven storytelling. His “Ratings Scorecard” reports; weekly music charts; and “Personality Profiles” have become essential reading for programmers; station managers; talent agents; and media buyers seeking to understand the ever-evolving audio landscape.
A respected journalist and analyst specializing in radio broadcasting, ratings trends, and media insight, Kinosian had a 16-year tenure as Adult Contemporary & Hot AC Editor at Radio & Records (R&R) and was Inside Radio’s Special Features Editor.
His background also includes Inside Radio’s Special Features Editor; Managing Editor of Talkers & Radio Info; and News Editor at Radio Ink. He previously spent six years at Drake-Chenault as a National Programming Consultant and Director/Syndicated Services and programmed “Cloud Nine,” Digital Planet’s Adult Contemporary channel. Prior to that, he held Director/Programming & Operations titles of radio facilities in Orlando; Battle Creek-Kalamazoo; Waterloo, Iowa; and was the imaging voice of WUHQ-TV/Battle Creek-Kalamazoo-Grand Rapids. Kinosian began his radio career as an on-air host at WNMR-FM/Marquette, Michigan and was General Manager of Northern Michigan University student-run WBKX/Marquette.
