Shown here are my takeaways from all 48 PPM-measured markets, based on Nielsen Audio’s 6+ total week stats from the December 2025 ratings period (November 13 – December 10).

Just a reminder: In the overwhelming majority of cases, massive spikes this sweep and particularly in the next one – “Holiday” 2025 – are owing to (many) Adult Contemporary outlets transitioning to wall-to-wall Christmas music.

Round One

New York

As a result of posting a +2.5 to 9.9 (6+), iHeartMedia-owned Adult Contemporary WLTW halts three straight sweeps without an increase that eventuated in a combined -1.2 (8.6 – 8.1 – 7.4 – 7.4, 6+); “106.7 Lite FM” leads the way the 40th consecutive survey period.

After trending 4.9 – 4.3 – 4.4 – 4.3 – 4.7 – 4.1 (June through November, 6+), MediaCo Holding Company Urban AC WBLS “Your #1 Source For R&B” breaks out a full-share gain to 5.1 (6+), rocketing from tenth to third.

Regressing by -1.0 and -1.1, respectively, are Audacy Classic Hits WCBS-FM “New York’s Greatest Hits” (5.6 – 4.6, fourth to sixth, 6+) and Red Apple Media “Talk Radio 77 WABC” (5.0 – 3.9, fifth to ninth, 6+). “New York’s Greatest Hits” was a combined +.8 the past two sweeps (4.8 – 5.0 – 5.6, 6+), while WABC reached the five-share mark this time last month with … a +.8 (4.2 – 5.0, 6+).

Los Angeles

The combination of iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KOST “Coast 103.5” racking up a whopping +4.7 (6.5 – 11.2, 6+) and Audacy Classic Hits KRTH “K-Earth 101” faltering by -1.2 (7.0 – 5.8, 6+) results in “Coast” (second to first) supplanting “K-Earth” (first to second) at the top. “Coast” has more than doubled (net +5.7) its 6+-share since September (5.5 – 5.7 – 6.5 – 11.2, 6+). Conversely, “K-Earth” – which was #1 the past seven sweeps – is a combined -2.5 in November and December (8.3 – 7.0 – 5.8, 6+).

In the spoken-word arena, Audacy’s “KNX News 97.1 FM” (4.2, sixth to fourth, 6+) and Pasadena City College -owned News/Talk KPCC “LA-ist 89.3” (2.8 – 3.2, #15 to #10, 6+) each gain four-tenths. KNX had been stuck on 3.8 (6+) in October and November, while KPCC was frozen on 2.9 (6+) in July, August, September and October.

Without an increase the third time in a row for a net loss of seven-tenths (3.5 – 3.3 – 3.3 – 2.8, 6+), Univision Spanish Contemporary KLVE “107.5 K-Love” slips from #10 to #15.

Chicago

Stacking a +5.5 onto November’s +1.1 (4.9 – 6.0 – 11.5, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WLIT “93.9 Lite FM” is #1 the third month in a row.

Off a combined eight-tenths in October and November (4.4 – 3.8 – 3.6, 6+), Cumulus Media-owned WLS-FM “94.7 Chicago’s Classic Hits” completely erases the deficit with December’s +.9 to 4.5 (ninth to fifth, 6+).

On the other hand, Audacy Country-formatted WUSN “US-99” – which had been a combined +1.1 the past two months (3.7 – 4.2 – 4.8, 6+) – sees that gain obliterated with a -1.2 to 3.6 (fifth to eighth, 6+).

San Francisco

In an alternating September through December up/down pattern (8.7 – 8.8 – 9.3 – 9.1, 6+), KQED Inc.-owned public News/Talk KQED is #1 the 12thconsecutive sweep. Prior to being flat in September, KQED was: -1.0 (May); +1.7 (June) -1.5 (July); and -1.1 (August).

A top-six market Adult Contemporary outlet that *didn’t* reach #1 in December 2025 – Bonneville International’s KOIT – nonetheless adds a +2.3 to 7.0 (6+) and advances from fourth to third. “Better Music For A Better Workday” was a net -1.8 via five straight losses (6.5 – 6.1 – 5.8 – 5.7 – 4.8 – 4.7, 6+).

KOIT’s format rival – iHeartMedia-owned KISQ “98.1 The Breeze” – is -1.2 in December and a net -1.5 since September (4.8 – 4.6 – 4.5 – 3.3, fifth to seventh, 6+). Without a loss the past four survey periods for an overall +.9 (2.5 – 2.8 – 2.8 – 3.0 – 3.4, 6+), Cumulus Media Classic Rock KSAN “107.7 The Bone” surrenders the entire gain and two-tenths more to 2.3 (-1.1, #9 to #14, 6+).

Dallas

As a result of notching a +3.8 (4.8 – 8.6, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KDGE “Star 102.1” progresses from fourth to first. Displaced after a November-only stay at #1 is Cumulus Media Sports Talk KTCK “The Ticket” (6.4 – 6.3, -.1, first to second, 6+). The flagship of the NHL’s Stars had an August – September – October topline of 5.3 – 5.4 – 5.3 (6+).

On top in March; June; July; and October, Cumulus Media Country-formatted KPLX “99.5 The Wolf” picks up four-tenths (5.1 – 5.5, 6+), yet backslides from second to third.

Surrendering seven-tenths each are Audacy Alternative KVIL “Alt 103.7” (3.2, #7 to #11, 6+) and North Texas Public Broadcasting News/Talk KERA (3.4 – 2.7, #12 to #15, 6+). “Alt 103.7” was a combined +1.2 the past two sweeps (2.7 – 3.6 – 3.9, 6+); KERA was locked on 3.7 (6+) in September and October.

Houston

On the strength of a mammoth +7.7 to 16.4 (6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KODA “Sunny 99.1” is #1 the fourth month in succession. After it set the pace twelve straight survey periods, “Sunny” shifted to second in August.

Up or flat the fifth consecutive month for an overall +1.8 (3.1 – 3.4 – 4.1 – 4.1 – 4.1 – 4.9, 6+), Audacy Hot AC KHMX “Mix 96.5” progresses from eighth to fourth.

Absorbing deficits of -1.3 and -1.1, respectively, are Cumulus Media CHR “104.1 KRBE” (5.3 – 4.0, fourth to seventh, 6+) and iHeartMedia’s KTRH “News Radio 740” (4.4 – 3.3, #7 to #11, 6+). KRBE was stuck on 5.3 (6+) in October and November. KTRH’s ultra-consistent May through November topline was: 4.7 – 4.6 – 4.7 – 4.6 – 4.5 – 4.7 – 4.4 (6+).

Atlanta

Sitting at #1 the fourth month in a row, Cox Media Group-owned WSB-AM “Atlanta’s News & Talk” nevertheless falters by -1.1 and continues an alternating up/down pattern that commenced in August: 6.9 – 7.8 – 7.7 – 8.5 – 7.4 (6+). September’s +.9 halted three straight modest dips that resulted in a combined -.6 (7.5 – 7.1 – 7.0 – 6.9, 6+).

Logging improvements of six-tenths are: WSB-AM’s Classic Hits sibling WSRV “97.1 The River” (5.6 – 6.2, fifth to second, 6+); Audacy’s WSTR “Star 94 The Rhythm Of Atlanta,” the market’s all-Christmas music station this year (3.6 – 4.2, tenth to eighth, 6+); and Cumulus Media Classic Rock WNNX “99-X” (2.4 – 3.0, #17 to #14, 6+). “The River” concludes a string of five straight losses that yielded a net -2.6 (8.2 – 7.5 – 7.4 – 6.5 – 5.9 – 5.6, 6+). The July through November topline for “99-X” was: 2.9 – 2.3 – 2.4 – 2.2 – 2.4 (6+).

Frozen on 6.8 (6+) in October and November, Cox Media Group Adult Contemporary WSB-FM “B-98.5” regresses by seven-tenths to 6.1 (second to third, 6+).

Philadelphia

The steady June through November topline for Audacy Adult Contemporary WBEB was: 5.5 – 5.3 – 5.5 – 5.4 – 5.6 – 5.0 (6+). That, however, changes dramatically in December as “Philly’s B-101” essentially doubles its 6+-stat to 10.1 (+5.1, 6+) and zooms from fifth to first. Bumped from the top spot after a November-only residence is Beasley Broadcast Group-owned “93.3 WMMR Rocks,” which follows November’s +1.6 with a -1.3 (6.1 – 7.7 – 6.4, first to second, 6+).

Locked on 5.4 (6+) in October and November, iHeartMedia Urban AC WDAS-FM “Philly’s Best R&B and Classic Soul” gains nine-tenths to 6.3 (fourth to third, 6+).

Down three-tenths in November, Beasley Broadcast Group Classic Rock WMGK “102.9 MGK” further falters by -1.2 (7.0 – 6.7 – 5.5, second to fifth, 6+).

Nassau-Suffolk (Long Island)

Notwithstanding that it takes a -1.3 December hit (8.2 – 6.9, 6+), Red Apple Media News/Talk “77 WABC” repeats at #1. WABC was a combined -1.5 in July and August (6.7 – 6.4 – 5.2, 6+), but +1.6 in September.

In addition to logging a +3.7 and soaring from #11 all the way to #2, iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WLTW “106.7 Lite FM” continues an alternating up/down pattern that commenced in July: 2.9 – 3.1 – 3.0 – 3.5 – 2.9 – 6.6 (6+). Meanwhile, Connoisseur Media Hot AC WALK-FM “Long Island’s Best Variety” is a combined +2.1 in November and December (3.4 – 4.0 – 5.5, eighth to fifth, 6+).

The station WABC succeeded at #1 in November – iHeartMedia CHR WHTZ “Z-100” – spirals by -1.7 (7.3 – 5.6, 6+) and segues from second to fourth. Prior to September’s loss of four-tenths, “Z-100” had been a net +1.1 via three straight months without a loss (5.8 – 6.2 – 6.2 – 6.9, 6+).

Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario

Even though Entravision Spanish Adult Hits KLYY is a combined -2.9 in November and December (12.0 – 11.4 – 9.1), “Jose” is #1 the 12thconsecutive survey period. Four successive sweeps without a loss generated a +2.2 (9.8 – 11.4 – 11.8 – 11.8 – 12.0, 6+).

Posting a half-share increase, Meruelo Media’s Los Angeles Rock-formatted “95.5 KLOS” is in the two-share range the sixth straight sweep: 2.4 – 2.2 – 2.2 – 2.4 – 2.4 – 2.9 (seventh too fifth, 6+).

Including December’s -.8, Univision Spanish Contemporary KLVE “K-Love 107.5” is in an alternating down/up pattern that began in July: 3.9 – 3.7 – 4.9 – 4.6 – 5.9 – 5.1 (unchanged at #3, 6+).

San Jose

On top in April; August; October; and November, Univision Spanish Adult Hits KBRG slips one-tenth to 5.8 (6+) and segues from first to the runner-up slot. Overtaking “Amor 100.3” is Bonneville International Adult Contemporary KOIT “Better Music For A Better Workday,” which is a combined +4.6 the past two sweeps (4.3 – 4.7 – 7.9, fourth to first, 6+).

Including December’s +.9, Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian KWAI “Air One” is trending .6 – .8 – 1.7 (6+) and surfaces at #18.

Among market stations affected by KOIT’s December +3.2 is iHeartMedia’s similarly-formatted KISQ, which relinquishes all but one-tenth of November’s +1.4 (3.6 – 2.3 -1.3, #8 to #13, 6+). Immediately prior to the November sweep, “98.1 The Breeze” recorded eight successive topline stats between 2.2 – 2.8 (2.3 – 2.3 – 2.4 – 2.7 – 2.7 – 2.4 – 2.8 – 2.2, 6+). Forfeiting one full-share and -1.5, respectively, are iHeartMedia Hot AC KIOI “Star 101.3” (4.1 – 3.1, sixth to ninth, 6+) and Audacy Alternative KITS “Live 105” (4.0 – 2.5, #7 to #11, 6+).

Middlesex-Somerset-Union

A change at the top finds iHeartMedia siblings swapping places. Specifically, Adult Contemporary WLTW “106.7 Lite FM” is a net +3.4 the past three sweeps (5.3 – 5.5 – 6.4 – 8.7, 6+) and progresses from second to first. It succeeds co-owned Classic Rock WAXQ, which drops eight-tenths (7.8 – 7.0, 6+) and – after being #1 the past four months – shifts to the runner-up slot. Entering the November sweep, “Q-104.3” was a collective -2.5 owing to three consecutive erosions (9.8 – 9.5 – 7.4 – 7.3, 6+).

In addition to Adult Contemporary WLTW’s December +2.3, Beasley Broadcast Group’s similarly-formatted WMGQ hauls out a +1.1 to 5.4 (seventh to fourth, 6+). By doing so, “Magic 98.3” pulls the plug on three straight losses that accounted for a net -1.3 (5.6 – 4.6 – 4.4 – 4.3, 6+).

Following nine straight March through November showings in the five-share range (5.9 – 5.6 – 5.9 – 5.8 – 5.2 – 5.4 – 5.2 – 5.0 – 5.6, 6+), Townsquare Media News/Talk WKXW “New Jersey 101.5” plunges by -1.7 to 3.9 (fourth to seventh, 6+).

Round Two

Washington, DC

In addition to being a net +.7 via three straight modest gains (11.5 – 11.9 – 12.1 – 12.2, 6+), Hubbard Broadcasting’s all-News WTOP is #1 the sixth time in a row and in double-digits (6+) the 13th successive sweep.

As a result of four consecutive up or flat moves – including December’s +3.8 – iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary “97.1 WASH-FM” has more than doubled (net +4.1) its 6+-share (4.3 – 4.6 – 4.9 – 4.9 8.7, 6+) and advances from fifth to third.

Back in August, Audacy Spanish Tropical WLZL  basically had its 6+-share carved in half (3.4 – 1.8, -1.6, 6+); however, “El Zol 107.9” rebounded with a +1.2 in September and +.8 in October. It now has lost a combined two full-shares in November and December (3.8 – 3.0 – 1.8, #10 to #16, 6+). Meanwhile, Howard University Urban AC “96.3 WHUR” falters by one full-share (7.0 – 6.0, third to fourth, 6+).

Boston

Powered by a +4.2 (6.1 – 10.3, 6+), Audacy Adult Contemporary WMJX “Magic 106.7” progresses from second to first. It trades places with Beasley Broadcast Group’s Sports Talk/Celtics; Bruins; New England Patriots; and New England Revolution flagship WBZ-FM “98.5 The Sports Hub” (6.9 – 6.2, -.7, first too second). “Magic” held – or shared – #1 honors five straight months before shifting to third in July and was then #1 in August; September; and October. Entering the December sweep, “The Sports Hub” registered four straight increases for a net +3.1 (3.8 – 4.4 – 5.2 – 6.4 – 6.9, 6+).

Bouncing back from November’s -1.3 (5.7 – 4.4, 6+) with a modest gain of two-tenths to 4.6 (6+), Audacy-owned WEEI-FM “93.7 Boston’s Sports Original” advances from seventh to fifth. The Red Sox flagship had a steady April through September topline: 4.7 – 4.5 – 4.4 – 4.7 – 4.6 – 4.9 – 4.4 – 4.2 – 4.7 ( 6+); however, in October, it erupted with a full-share uptick, enabling it to cross the five-share mark (5.7, 6+). Also picking up two-tenths in December is WGBH Educational Foundation News/Talk WGBH-FM “GBH 89.7,” which is a collective +.9 in three straight upticks (3.0 – 3.3 – 3.7 – 3.9, steady in tenth-place, 6+).

After trending 4.5 – 4.2 – 4.4 – 4.2 (July through October, 6+), Boston University-owned WBUR notched a November gain of eight-tenths to 5.0 (6+). “Boston’s NPR News Station,” however, forfeits a full-share to 4.0 (6+) and slips from fifth to ninth.

Miami

The game of tag for #1 bragging rights continues between Cox Media Group siblings WFEZ “Easy 93.1” and Urban AC WHQT “Hot 105.” In December, it’s Adult Contemporary WFEZ’s turn (6.6 – 7.3, +7, second to first), while “Hot” (6.9 – 6.6, -.3, 6+) shifts from first to second. It was exactly the opposite in November. “Hot” had a September-only stay at #1, before being displaced by “Easy.” In addition to holding the #1 position in September, “Hot” set the pace in June. Prior to the November sweep, “Easy” had been without a loss five straight months for a net +1.2 (6.0 – 6.0 – 6.5 – 7.1 – 7.2 – 7.2, 6+) and was #1 in April; August; and October.

Including its December loss of eight-tenths, iHeartMedia Urban Contemporary WMIB “103.5 The Beat” continues an alternating up/down pattern: 2.4 – 3.1 – 2.8 – 3.2 – 2.4 (#13 to #19, 6+).

Seattle

In addition to being up a combined seven-tenths the past two sweeps (9.1 – 9.4 – 9.8, 6+), University of Washington-owned News/Talk “94.9 KUOW” is #1 the 12th straight survey period. Off one-tenth in October to 9.1 (6+), KUOW had been a combined +1.7 in four consecutive improvements (7.5 – 7.9 – 8.4 – 9.1 – 9.2, 6+).

Factoring in December’s +5.3, Hubbard Broadcasting Adult Contemporary KRWM “Warm 106.9” is a net +5.7 via three straight gains (3.8 – 4.0 – 4.2 – 9.5, 6+) and vaults from ninth to the runner-up slot.

Plummeting from #4 to #12, Bonneville International-owned KIRO-AM follows November’s massive -3.9 with a December decline of two full-shares (9.1 – 5.2 – 3.2, 6+); “Seattle Sports 710 AM” had an October-only stay at #1. As a result of six February through August spikes in a row, the Mariners and Seahawks flagship essentially quadrupled its 6+- stat for a net +4.7 (1.6 – 2.0 – 4.1 – 4.2 – 4.7 – 5.4 – 6.3, 6+). Friends of KEXP-owned Alternative KEXP, which netted a full-share in back-to-back sweeps (2.5 – 3.0 – 3.5, 6+), relinquishes a -1.1 to 2.4 (#11 to #17, 6+).

Detroit

  • Not only does “100.3 WNIC” pile a +4.2 onto November’s increase of six-tenths (7.4 – 8.0 – 12.2, 6+), the iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary outlet repeats at #1. WNIC has been #1 this calendar year in January; February; March; August; November; and December.

After squandering nine-tenths in November, Maricopa County Community College District & Arizona State University-owned Classical KBAQ answers with a +.7 and jumps from #15 to #9. “K-Bach” continues an alternating up/down pattern that began in May (2.7 – 2.8 – 2.7 – 2.9 – 2.5 – 3.4 – 2.5 – 3.2, 6+).

On the heels of November’s -1.1, “100.7 KSLX” further erodes by -1.6 (8.7 – 7.6 – 6.0,  6+), but carries on in the runner-up slot. Minneapolis

The station playing all-Christmas music in the Twin Cities that advances to the top isn’t from the Adult Contemporary arena, but iHeartMedia Classic Hits KQQL (fifth to first). Including December’s +5.3, “Kool 108” is in an alternating down/up pattern: 6.0 – 5.6 – 5.8 – 5.5 – 10.8 (6+). Moreover, “Real Music Variety”  is #1 the tenth survey period in succession.

Off a combined full-share in October and November (9.4 – 8.6 – 8.4, 6+), Urban One Urban AC WWIN-FM “Magic 95.9” erases 70% of the deficit with a +.7 to 9.1 (6+) and is #1 the 11th straight month. Its recent fluctuations had been: -1.2 (June); +1.5 (July); -1.0 (August) +.8 (September); and -.8 (October).

After trending a very consistent 5.8 – 5.3 – 5.4 – 5.2 (6+), Audacy Adult Contemporary WLIF “Today’s 101.9” breaks out a +3.8 to 9.0 (6+) and progresses from fifth to second.

Returning in full the +1.3 it garnered in November (5.0 – 6.3 – 5.0, 6+), iHeartMedia Country “93.1 WPOC” slips from third to fifth. Entering the November sweep, WPOC had been down or flat the previous seven sweeps for a collective -2.5 (7.5 – 7.0 – 7.0 – 6.7 – 6.5 – 5.6 – 5.2 – 5.0, 6+). Somewhat similarly, Baltimore Public Media-owned WYPR “Your NPR News Station” relinquishes 80% of the +2.0 it chalked up in November (2.8 – 4.8 – 3.2, -1.6, sixth to ninth, 6+). Owing to three straight gains, WYPR more than doubled (net +2.8) its 6+-share (2.0 – 2.2 – 2.8 – 4.8, 6+). Including December’s -1.1, Audacy Sports Talk WJZ-FM “105.7 The Fan” is in an alternating up/down pattern that commenced in August: 4.0 – 4.5 – 4.4 – 4.8 – 3.7 (sixth to eighth, 6+).

St. Louis

Stymied on 5.6 (6+) in September and October, Audacy Adult Contemporary “102.5 KEZK” explodes with a combined +7.7 in November and December (5.6 – 6.5 – 13.3, 6+). Over and above that, KEZK advances from fifth to first. Exiting the top spot after 11 straight sweeps there is Hubbard Broadcasting’s KSHE “Real Rock Radio,” which is an overall -3.4 the past four survey periods (10.9 – 9.5 – 9.2 – 8.5 – 7.5, first to second, 6+). In August, KSHE posted a +1.9 (9.0 – 10.9, 6+).

Notching increases of four-tenths each are iHeartMedia Urban AC KATZ-FM “100.3 The Beat” (1.9 – 2.3, steady at #16, 6+) and the internet stream of Audacy News/Talk KMOX “The Voice of St. Louis” (1.1 – 1.5 (#20 to #18, 6+). “The Beat” was down eight-tenths in November (2.7 – 1.9, 6+).

In that same stretch, WXOS was an overall +2.8 (3.2 – 3.6 – 4.3 – 5.2 – 6.0, 6+).

Round Three

Portland

Notwithstanding it has netted a full-share via three consecutive gains and reaches a 10-share (9.0 – 9.2 – 9.7 – 10.0, 6+), iHeartMedia Classic Hits KLTH exits the top spot after back-to-back months there and segues to second. Swapping places with “106.7 The Eagle” is co-owned Adult Contemporary KKCW “K-103,” which answers November’s -.8 (9.0 – 8.2, 6+) with a resounding +5.2 to 13.4 (second to first, 6+).

The internet stream of Oregon Public Broadcasting-owned News/Talk KOPB “OPB Radio” picks up four-tenths (.8 – 1.2, 6+) and returns to the top twenty at #19. KOPB’s FM signal adds one-tenth to November’s full-share gain, zooming from sixth to third (5.3 – 6.3 – 6.4, 6+).

Slipping from #12 to #15, Connoisseur Media’s Country KUPL “98.7 The Bull” forfeits one full-share (3.1 – 2.1, 6+). Meanwhile, Audacy-owned/similarly formatted KWJJ “99.5 The Wolf” backslides the sixth straight time for an overall -2.6 (4.3 – 3.5 – 3.2 – 2.9 – 2.5 – 1.9 – 1.7, flat at #17, 6+).

Charlotte

The combination of Beasley Broadcast Group Adult Contemporary WKQC “K-104.7” expanding by +3.4 to 9.6 (6+) and Urban One-owned Urban-Rhythmic Oldies WOSF “105.3 RnB” faltering by -1.3 to 7.0 (6+) eventuates in “K-104.7” (fourth to first) supplanting WOSF (first to second) at #1. WKQC’s last three fluctuations have been: +.8 (October); -1.5 (November); and +3.4 (December). WOSF had been #1 the past three sweeps; entering this survey period, it was a collective +3.6 via five consecutive spikes (4.7 – 5.4 – 6.9 – 7.5 – 7.9 – 8.3, 6+).

Improving by eight-tenths each are iHeartMedia Adult Hits WLKO “102.9 The Lake” (5.7 – 6.5, fifth to third, 6+) and Beasley Broadcast Group Urban Contemporary WPEG “Power 98” (3.1 – 3.9, #15 to #9, 6+). Also in the Beasley Broadcast Group cluster, WSOC “Country 103.7” (7.3 – 6.1, second to fourth, 6+) and co-owned Urban AC WBAV “V-101.9” (6.3 – 5.2, third to fifth, 6+) are -1.2 and -1.1, respectively.

More than quadrupling (net +7.6) its 6+-stat in five straight upticks including December’s +5.6 (2.3 – 2.5 – 3.3 – 4.2 – 4.3 – 9.9, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KQXT “Q-101.9” hurtles from ninth to first. After being on top the past four months, Cox Media Group-owned Classic Hits KONO-FM “KONO 101.1” regresses by -1.3 (7.6 – 6.3, 6+) and takes over in the runner-up slot.

A combined +1.5 the past two sweeps (5.2 – 6.2 – 6.7, 6+), Cox Media Group Country KCYY “Y-100” relinquishes all but three-tenths of that gain (6.7 – 5.5, -1.2, second to third, 6+). Meanwhile, Univision Spanish Contemporary KMYO “Amor 95.1” is a combined -1.4 in November and December (3.7 – 3.3 – 2.3, #12 to #16, 6+).

Sacramento

This time last month, Bonneville Adult Contemporary KYMX “Mix 96” (7.2, 6+) and iHeartMedia’s similarly-formatted KBEB “92.5 The Breeze” (4.8, 6+) combined for a 12.0-share (6+) and finished third and fifth, respectively. Fast-forward to December and the two AC rivals are first and second with a collective 18.5 (6+). Specifically, “Mix 96” posts a +2.2 to 9.4 (6+) to progress from third to first, while “The Breeze” records a +4.3 to 9.1 (6+), advancing from fifth to second.

“Mix” succeeds iHeartMedia’s KFBK, which replicates November’s full-share loss (10.3 – 9.3 – 8.3, 6+) and slides to third-place; “News 93.1” had been #1 the past eight months. Similarly-formatted cluster-mate/Athletics flagship KSTE-AM “Talk 650,” a collective +1.1 in three straight gains (4.1 – 4.4 – 4.8 – 5.2, 6+), surrenders nine-tenths to 4.3 (fourth to sixth, 6+).

Improving by three-tenths and inching up from #20 to #18, Lotus Communications Regional Mexican KVMX-FM “La Ranchera” has an August through December topline of: 1.3 – 1.7 – 1.6 – 1.6 – 1.9 (6+).

Pittsburgh

Not only is iHeartMedia Classic Hits WWSW an overall +1.6 via three straight gains (10.2 – 10.5 – 10.6 – 11.8, 6+) “94.5 3WS” is #1 the third month is a row. In addition, WWSW is in double-digits the fifth consecutive time and seventh time in the last eight months (10.6 – 10.9 – 9.9 – 10.4 – 10.2 – 10.5 – 10.6 – 11.8, 6+).

Renda Media Adult Contemporary WSHH “Wish 99.7” posts its third successive increase for a net +2.2 (6.1 – 6.6 – 7.1 – 8.3, 6+) and pushes up from fifth to fourth.

Frozen on 2.4 (6+) in August; September; October; *and* November, iHeartMedia Country-formatted WPGB “Big 104.7” stumbles by nine-tenths, falling below a two-share (1.5, #14 to #15, 6+).

Salt Lake City

This market’s two Adult Contemporary outlets register significant November – December fluctuations. On the positive side, Bonneville International’s KSFI “FM 100.3” more than doubles (+6.8) November’s 6.4 topline (6.4 – 13.2, 6+) and powers from third to first. Conversely, Cumulus Media’s KBEE  falters by -1.6 and is a combined -2.2 the past two months (5.3 – 4.7 – 3.1, 6+), as “B-98.7” drops from #9 to #13.

A somewhat comparable scenario plays out in Hot AC with Capital Broadcasting’s KBZN “Now 97.9” forfeiting roughly half November’s +1.6 (7.5 – 6.6, -.9, 6+), downshifting to second after a November-stay at #1. “Now” was -1.7 in October and a net +1.6 through three straight improvements immediately prior to that (6.0 – 6.2 – 6.9 – 7.6, 6+). At the same time, iHeartMedia’s similarly-formatted KJMY more than doubles (+3.1) November’s 2.7 (6+) and is a collective +3.5 via three successive upticks (2.3 – 2.6 – 2.7 – 5.8, 6+); “My 99.5” zooms from #15 to #4.

Independent Country KSOP-FM was locked on 7.1 (6+) in August and September; inched up one-tenth in October; but “Z-104” has regressed a combined -2.8 the past two months (7.2 – 6.4 – 4.4, third to seventh, 6+). Ups and downs continue for Broadway Media CHR KUDD: “Mix 105.1” was a combined -1.2 in July and August; +1.5 in September; -1.3 in October; +.7 in November; but now -1.2 in December (4.6 – 3.4, #8 to #12, 6+). Relinquishing more than twice November’s half-share improvement (3.7 – 4.2, 6+), iHeartMedia-owned KNRS “Talk Radio 105.9” departs the top ten (4.2 – 3.1, -1.1, #10 to #13, 6+).

Las Vegas

It was this time last month when Beasley Broadcast Group Classic Hits “96.3 KKLZ” advanced from second to first and held a slim two-tenths advantage over iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KSNE “Sunny 106.5,” which had set the past 13 straight times. That changes dramatically though, as “Sunny” expands by +2.4 (6.3 – 8.7, second to first, 6+), while KKLZ has a decrease exactly half that magnitude (6.5 – 5.3, -1.2, first to second, 6+). In the previous three sweeps, KKLZ netted a +1.1 (5.4 – 5.6 – 6.1 – 6.5, 6+) compared to KSNE’s -1.9 (8.2 – 6.9 – 6.3 – 6.3, 6+).

A combined -1.7 in October and November (4.2 – 3.7 – 3.5, 6+), Audacy Hot AC KMXB “Mix 94.1” erases all but two-tenths of that deficit with a +1.5 to 5.0 (eighth to third, 6+).

Factoring in December’s -1.2, Kemp Broadcasting & Digital Media Rhythmic CHR KVEG “Hot 97.5” is an overall -1.7 the last two survey periods (4.2 – 3.7 – 2.5, 6+) and tumbles from #6 to #14.

Orlando

Not only has iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WMGF more than doubled (net +7.7) its 6+-topline through three consecutive advances including December’s whopping +6.4 (6.8 – 6.9 – 8.1 – 14.5, 6+), “Magic 107.7” progresses from second to first. Exiting the top spot after a November-only residence is Audacy Classic Hits WOCL “105.9 Sunny FM” (8.3 – 7.8, -.5, first to second, 6+). “Sunny” had been an overall +1.3 in three straight up or flat trends (7.0 – 7.3 – 7.3 – 8.3, 6+).

December’s top-twenty finisher displaying the second-highest positive month-to-month growth – a modest two-tenths – is Norsan Media Spanish Contemporary WFYY-HD3 “Suave 105.5” (4. – .6, 6+), which appears at #20.

As a result of three consecutive sputters – including December’s -1.8 – Cox Media Group-owned Country WWKA “K-92.3” has seen its 6+-stat carved nearly in half for a net loss of -3.1 (6.6 – 5.5 – 5.3 – 3.5, #6 to #11, 6+).

Cincinnati

Despite the fact each station posts a November – December decline, Cumulus Media Classic Hits “103.5 WGRR” (10.0 – 8.8, -1.2, repeats at #1, 6+) and iHeartMedia-owned WLW “News Radio 700” (9.3 – 8.8, -.5, #2 to #1, 6+) are engaged in a first-place tie. WGRR is a combined -1.6 in November and December (10.4 – 10.0 – 8.8, 6+). WLW departed the top spot in November – after back-to-back months there. The flagship of the Reds and Bengals also set the pace in June and July.

At the same time Cumulus Media Adult Contemporary WRRM “Warm 98.5” inflates by +2.1 to 7.8 (fifth to third, 6+), Hubbard Broadcasting’s Country WUBE “B-105.1” deflates by that same magnitude (7.4 – 5.3, -2.1, third to fourth, 6+). The steady June through November topline for “Warm” was: 5.0 – 5.5 – 5.0 – 5.9 – 5.7 (6+); “B105.1” was off three-tenths in November (7.7 – 7.4, 6+).

Meanwhile, Urban One-owned WOSL “100.3 Cinci’s R&B Station” (3.7 – 4.7, tenth to eighth, 6+) and iHeartMedia CHR WKFS “Kiss 107.1” (2.4 – 1.4, #13 to #18, 6+) gain one full-share and lose that margin, respectively. WOSL was down a combined three-tenths the last two months (4.0 – 3.9 – 3.7, 6+), while “Kiss” netted one-half share since August (1.9 – 2.0 – 2.0 – 2.4, 6+).

Cleveland

Following back-to-back one-tenth fluctuations (9.6 – 9.7 – 9.6, 6), iHeartMedia Classic Hits WMJI is a whopping combined +5.3 in November and December (9.6 – 9.9 – 14.9, 6+); furthermore, “Majic 105.7” is #1 the fifth straight month. WMJI was on top 15 straight sweeps, before shifting to the runner-up slot in July.

An overall -1.1 via three straight decreases (8.2 – 7.6 – 7.5 – 7.1, 6+), Audacy Adult Contemporary WDOK “Star 102” improves by seven-tenths to 7.8 (6+), bumping up from third to second.

Cratering by -1.8 (7.0 – 5.2, 6+), WGAR tumbles from fourth to eighth; the iHeartMedia Country outlet was up seven-tenths in November (6.3 – 7.0, 6+). As a result of a full-share loss to 4.4 (eighth to ninth, 6+), Audacy Hot AC WQAL “Q-104” squanders the combined nine-tenths it picked up in October and November (4.5 – 4.6 – 5.4, 6+).

Kansas City

Cumulus Media-owned KCMO-FM “94.9 Kansas City’s Greatest Hits” is #1 the 20th straight time and in double-digits (6+) the 11th successive month. Its three latest fluctuations have been: +1.6 (13.4 – 15.0, October, 6+); +.8 (15.0 – 15.8, November, 6+); and -1.5 (15.8 – 14.3, December, 6+).

The (6+) margin between “Kansas City’s Greatest Hits” and Classic Rock cluster-mate KCFX “101 The Fox” is reduced from 9.1 shares in November to 5.7 in December as KCFX hauls out a +1.9 (6.7 – 8.6, steady at #2, 6+); “The Fox” was a combined -2.5 the past two sweeps (9.2 – 7.6 – 6.7, 6+). Swelling by one full-share and +1.2, respectively, are Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian KLRX “K-Love 97.3,” which is up or flat the third straight time for a net +1.3 (2.9 – 2.9 – 3.2 – 4.2, #12 to #8, 6+) and Steel City Media Adult Hits KCKC “102.1 Bob FM,” whose August through December topline is 2.8 – 2.4 – 2.8 – 2.7 – 3.9 (#15 to #10, 6+).

At the same time Steel City Media-owned KFKF “Country 94.1” balloons by +1.2 (3.2 – 4.4, #12 to #5, 6+), Audacy’s similarly-formatted WDAF “106.5 The Wolf” shrinks by half that magnitude (4.8 – 4.2, -.6, fourth to eighth, 6+). KFKF was up three-tenths in November; “The Wolf” netted a +1.4 in back-to-back gains (3.4 – 4.1 – 4.8, 6+).

Columbus

Stacking a +5.4 onto November’s half-share increase (5.9 – 6.5 – 11.9, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Hits WODC “93.3 The Bus” drives from fifth to first. Exiting the top spot after three straight months there is Tegna Sports Talk/Blue Jackets flagship WBNS-FM (10.1, -.9, 6+). In four consecutive upticks, “97.1 The Fan” had more than doubled (net +5.6) its 6+-topline (5.4 – 6.8 – 9.7 – 10.3 – 11.0, 6+).

A combined -2.1 in October and November (8.5 – 7.6 – 6.4, 6+), Saga Communications-owned Classic Rock WLVQ answers with a +1.1 to 7.5 (sixth to third, 6+). In September, “Q-FM 96” registered a +2.1, its third straight gain for a collective +2.9 (5.6 – 6.0 – 6.4 – 8.5, 6+).

Including December’s full-share deficit, North American Broadcasting Company-owned Rock WRKZ “99.7 The Blitz” is an overall -2.0 via three dips in succession (5.5 – 4.8 – 4.5 – 3.5, flat at #9, 6+).

Round Four

Austin

An overall +2.6 in seven consecutive up or flat months (8.7 – 8.9 – 8.9 – 9.6 – 9.6 – 10.7 – 10.9 – 11.3, 6+), University of Texas at Austin-owned News/Talk “KUT 90.5” dips two-tenths to 11.1 (6+), but is #1 the fifth straight sweep.

After trending 4.6 – 5.4 – 4.6 (September – October – November, 6+), Audacy Adult Contemporary KKMJ breaks out a four-share increase to 8.6 (6+), as “Majic 95.5” moves from fourth to second.

On the heels of November’s +1.1, Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian KFMK “K-Love” forfeits eight-tenths (3.3 – 2.5, #11 to #15, 6+); November’s 3.3 was its best 6+-stat since February’s 4.1.

Raleigh

Not only a net +1.7 the past three sweeps (8.6 – 9.1 – 10.2 – 10.3, 6+), North Carolina at Chapel Hill News/Talk WUNC “North Carolina Public Radio” is #1 the eighth successive survey period and in double-digits (6+) the fifth time in the last six months. Entering the September survey period, WUNC recorded six straight up or flat trends which accounted for a net gain of four full-shares (6.8 – 6.8 – 7.4 – 8.1 – 9.5 – 10.0 – 10.8, 6+).

In the market’s CHR contest, iHeartMedia-owned WDCG “G-105” improves by +1.6 to 7.6 (seventh to fourth, 6+); however, Curtis Media Group’s similarly-formatted WPLW “Pulse FM” regresses by a full-share to 3.2 (#10 to #13, 6+). Both “G-105” (4.8 – 6.0, 6+) *and* “Pulse FM” (3.0 – 4.2, 6+) were +1.2 in November. A collective -1.7 in three straight decreases (5.3 – 5.1 – 4.8 – 3.6, 6+), Educational Information Corporation-owned WCPE “The Classical Station” halts the slide with a +1.5 to 5.1 (#12 to #8, 6+). Essentially quintupling (net +1.9) its 6+-topline since October (.5 – 1.2 – 2.4, 6+), Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WRKV “K-Love 88.9” advances from #19 to #15.

Spiraling by -1.6 and -1.2, respectively, are Urban One-owned Urban AC WFXC “Foxy,” which squanders a combined three full-shares the past two sweeps (9.0 – 7.6 – 6.0, third to sixth, 6+) and Curtis Media Group Regional Mexican WYMY “La Ley 101.1,” which continues an alternating up/down pattern that began in June (5.0 – 5.1 – 4.6 – 5.4 – 4.7 – 5.2 – 4.0, eighth to ninth, 6+).

Indianapolis

Albeit #1 the third month in a row, Urban One’s WYXB represents a rare December 2025 case where an Adult Contemporary reaches or maintains its top spot status – despite eroding from November 2025 (10.8 – 10.2, -.6, 6+). Entering the December sweep, “B-105.7” was a net +3.9 via three straight upticks (6.9 – 7.1 – 9.7 – 10.8, 6+).

When December’s full-share bump is taken into consideration, Cumulus Media WZPL “99.5 ZPL” is a net +2.2 via three successive gains (4.8 – 5.3 – 6.0 – 7.0, fifth to third, 6+). Off four-tenths in November (5.3 – 4.9, 6+), Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Broadcasting News/Talk WFYI records an improvement triple that magnitude (4.9 – 6.1, +1.2, eighth to fifth, 6+).

Returning to 5.1 (6+) and dropping from fourth to seventh, iHeartMedia Classic Rock WFBQ “Q-95” surrenders in full the +1.7 it garnered through three upticks in a row (5.1 – 5.2 – 5.9 – 6.8, 6+).

Milwaukee

Even though its topline the past five sweeps includes December’s -1.4 (8.6 – 8.7 – 9.9 – 9.8 – 8.4, 6+)  iHeartMedia-owned WISN sets the pace the 29thconsecutive time. Prior to August, “News/Talk 1130” was in double-digits (6+) 17 sweeps in a row.

In mid-October, WISN cluster-mate WRNW ditched its Sports Talk format and returned to Adult Contemporary, its format from 1985 – 2004. More than tripling the station’s November stat (2.1 – 6.7, +4.6, 6+), “B-97.3” ascends from #16 all the way to #3.

Three backsides in succession – including December’s -1.9 – by Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WLVE “Air One” account for a net loss of -2.6 (3.4 – 3.0 – 2.7 – .8, #12 to #20, 6+).

Nashville

Over and above being a net +3.9 the last three sweeps (8.5 – 9.1 – 9.3 – 12.4, 6+), Midwest Communications Adult Contemporary WJXA is #1 the third month in succession. After ten straight months in the top spot, “Mix 92.9” exited in September.

Erasing approximately half of November’s -1.2 with December’s spike of seven-tenths (6.3 – 5.1 – 5.8, 6+), iHeartMedia-owned WNRQ “105.9 The Rock” advances from seventh to fifth.

As a result of eight straight sweeps without an increase (net -3.7), Cumulus Media Urban AC WQQK “92-Q” has lost over half its 6+-share (6.7 – 6.4 – 5.9 – 4.9 – 4.8 – 4.4 – 4.4 – 4.0 – 3.0, #12 to #14, 6+).

Providence

Stymied on 8.4 (6+) in August and September and then on 9.3 (6+) in October and November, Cumulus Media Adult Contemporary WWLI rolls out a +2.3 to 11.6 (6+) and repeats at #1. The last time “Lite 105” reached double-digits (6+) was in February (10.0).

Jumping from fifth to second, iHeartMedia Classic Hits WWBB “B-101” is a combined +1.3 the past two sweeps (6.1 – 6.3 – 7.4, 6+).

Conversely, Hall Communications’ WCTK “Cat Country 98.1” is a net -4.5 in four successive downturns (11.4 – 10.4 – 10.0 – 9.2 – 6.9, second to fourth, 6+). “Cat Country 98.1” spent five straight months at #1, before being dislodged in November by “Lite 105.”

Norfolk

In addition to possessing the top spot the 11th time in a row, Audacy Urban AC WVKL picks up four-tenths to 10.3 (6+), thus curtailing a string of three straight dips that accounted for a net loss of one full-share (10.9 – 10.6 – 10.1 – 9.9, 6+). Immediately prior to September, “95-7 R&B” was a collective +2.1 in three successive gains (8.8 -10.0 – 10.5 – 10.9, 6+) and registered its best 6+-stat (10.9) since February 2024’s 11.2.

Two market Adult Contemporary outlets that played all-Christmas music register significant upticks. Specifically, Audacy-owned WWDE “101.3 2WD” is +2.8 to 7.9 (6+), climbing from fifth to second, while iHeartMedia’s WNOH “105.3 The Breeze,” which flipped to AC in August after being a Black Information Network affiliate, is +1.7 to 2.6 (#20 to #14, 6+). “2WD” was locked on 5.1 (6+) in October and November; “The Breeze” had been trending .4 – .4 – .9 (6+).

Down a modest two-tenths in November, iHeartMedia Urban Contemporary WOWI “103 Jamz” follows with a -1.5 (6.2 – 6.0 – 4.5, third to seventh, 6+).
