Shown here are my takeaways from all 48 PPM-measured markets, based on Nielsen Audio’s 6+ total week stats from the August 2026 ratings period.

Round One

New York

Not only does iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WLTW slump by six-tenths to 7.3 (6+), its lowest 6+-stat since January’s 7.0 (6+), “106.7 Lite FM” is now tied for the lead, which it held since March. “Lite” was an overall +1.1 via three consecutive up or flat trends (7.0 – 7.4 – 7.4 – 8.1, January through April, 6+). Catching WLTW at #1 is Audacy all-News “1010 WINS on 92.3 FM,” which is trending 7.1 – 7.4 – 7.3 (June – July – August, second to a first-place tie, 6+).

Improving by four-tenths each are: iHeartMedia CHR WHTZ “Z-100” (5.2 – 5.6 – fourth to third, 6+); Audacy Hot AC WNEW “NEW 102.7” (4.1 – 4.5, eighth to sixth, 6+); and co-owned Sports Talk/Yankees flagship WFAN “101.9 FM The Fan,” which dropped one-half share in July (4.0 – 3.5 – 3.9, #11 to #9, 6+). This marks the 20th time in succession “Z-100” has registered a 6+-stat between 5.0 – 5.9 (6+) and the sixth time “NEW” is in four-share range (4.6 – 4.5 – 4.7 – 4.1 – 4.1 – 4.5, March through August, 6+).

Including August’s -1.1, New York Public Radio-owned “Classical New York 105.9 WQXR” is a combined -1.5 in July and August (3.3 – 2.9 – 1.8, #14 to #17, 6+).

Los Angeles

In addition to logging its third successive month without a loss for a net gain of seven-tenths (6.0 – 6.2 – 6.2 – 6.7, 6+), iHeartMedia Hot AC KBIG repeats at #1. This time last month, “104.3, My FM” unseated its Adult Contemporary cluster-mate, KOST “Coast 103.5,” which spent eight consecutive sweeps on top.

Meanwhile, owing to four straight up or flat survey periods, Spanish Broadcasting System Regional Mexican KLAX “La Raza 97.9” also notches an overall seven-tenths and enters the top ten (3.2 – 3.3 – 3.3 – 3.3 – 3.9, #11 to #7, 6+).

After its June – July topline of 4.5 – 4.6 (6+), iHeartMedia News/Talk KFI “AM 640” forfeits one-half share to 3.9 (6+) and drops from sixth to seventh.

Chicago

WBBM-AM & WCFS “News Radio 780 AM & 105.9 FM” doubles July’s increase of three-tenths (5.5 – 5.8 – 6.4, +.6, 6+) and progresses from second to first. The last time the Audacy combo reached a six-share was March (6.0, 6+). After consecutive months at #1, Hubbard Broadcasting Hot AC WTMX stumbles by eight-tenths to 5.2 (6+) as “101.9 The Mix” segues to third-place. “Mix” had a consistent January through May topline of: 5.5 – 5.4 – 5.6 – 5.7 – 5.6 (6+) and was frozen on 6.0 (6+) in June and July.

Gaining one-half share each are Audacy-owned WXRT “93 XRT Chicago’s Finest Rock” (5.4 – 5.9, fourth to second, 6+) and iHeartMedia Urban Contemporary “107.5 WGCI-FM” (2.5 – 3.0, #14 to #11, 6+). Via three straight down or flat trends, “Chicago’s Finest Rock” was down a collective nine-tenths (6.3 – 5.6 – 5.6 – 5.4, 6+). WGCI-FM’s February through July topline was: 2.3 – 2.4 – 2.3 – 2.7 – 2.4 – 2.5 (6+).

Without a loss six straight times for an overall +2.3 (3.2 – 4.0 – 4.0 – 4.0 – 4.4 – 4.4 – 5.5, 6+), iHeartMedia Urban AC WVAZ “V-103” surrenders a full-share to 4.5 (third to sixth, 6+).

San Francisco

Recording double-digits the third consecutive month (10.0 – 10.3 – 10.2, 6+), KQED Inc.-owned public News/Talk KQED is #1 the eighth time in succession. Entering this sweep, KQED was a net +1.7 via four straight surges (8.6 – 9.2 – 9.3 – 10.0 – 10.3, 6+).

Bouncing back from July’s loss of four-tenths with August’s uptick of six-tenths, iHeartMedia-owned KOSF “Classic Hits 103.7” has a March through August trend of: 2.6 – 2.4 – 2.5 – 27 – 2.3 – 2.9 (#12 to #10, 6+).

Unchanged in the runner-up slot, Audacy’s KCBS-AM & KFRC “All News 740 AM & 106.9 FM” sputters by eight-tenths – twice the magnitude of July’s increase – and is within 8.3 – 8.9 range the eighth straight time (8.3 – 8.8 – 8.6 – 8.7 – 8.8 – 8.5 – 8.9 – 8.1, 6+).

Dallas

Not only is KDGE up an overall two full-shares since May (4.2 – 4.9 – 5.4 – 6.0 – 6.2, 6+), “Star 102.1” is #1 the fourth successive month. The iHeartMedia-owned Adult Contemporary facility had a January through May topline of: 4.4 – 4.2 – 4.3 – 4.2 – 4.9 (6+).

Powered by August’s uptick of eight-tenths, City of Dallas-owned/Classical-formatted WRR returns to the top twenty after a three month absence (1.4 – 2.2, #17, 6+).

KYDA’s wild ride continues. The Educational Media Foundation-owned Contemporary Christian outlet boasted the largest (6+) May 2026 – June 2026 explosion (+2.7) by any station in the first round of PPM-data. In July and August, however, “Air 1” has essentially returned that bounty with a combined -2.6 (5.2 – 3.6 – 2.6, -2.6, #9 to #13, 6+). In five successive sweeps without a loss (1.9 – 2.3 – 2.6 – 2.6 – 3.4, 6+), “Air 1” doubled (net +1.7) its 6+ topline, but surrendered nine-tenths in May (3.4 – 2.5, 6+).

Houston

Notwithstanding that it slips by one-half share (9.6 – 9.1, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KODA is #1 the 13th time in succession. “Sunny 99.1”” gained a combined full-share in June and July (8.6 – 9.4 – 9.6, 6+).

Conversely, an overall -1.5 in June and July (3.9 – 3.1 – 2.4, 6+), Univision Spanish Adult Hits KOVE “Amor 106.5” erases all but two-tenths of that deficit with a +1.3 to 3.7 (#15 to #10, 6+).

Owing to a massive -1.9 (5.3 – 3.4, 6+), Audacy Adult Hits KIKK-HD3, formerly “KKHH to 95.7 The Spot,” plummets from #6 to #11. “The Spot” shifted to HD-3 in mid-August. Its 95.7 dial position is now occupied by Sports Talk KIKK-FM “95.7 The Fan.”

Atlanta

July’s tie at #1 is resolved, but neither co-leader emerges in sole possession of the lead. Instead, by posting a hefty +1.1 (6.5 – 7.6, 6+), Urban One Urban AC WAMJ “Majic The Real Sound of Atlanta” progresses from third to first. Dislodged from the penthouse are Cox Media Group-owned WSB-AM & WSBB “Atlanta’s News Talk 750 & 95.5” and Audacy Urban Contemporary WVEE “V-103.” On top in June and July, “Atlanta’s News Talk 750 & 95.5” is a combined -1.5 the past two sweeps and slips to second (7.5 – 6.6 – 6.0, 6+). Immediately after hauling out July’s +1.1 (5.5 – 6.6, 6+), “V-103” falters by seven-tenths to 5.9 (first-place tie to third, 6+), making it a July-only stay at the top.

After trending 2.6 – 2.6 – 2.8 – 2.5 (April through July, 6+), Dickey Broadcasting Sports Talk/Braves flagship WCNN “680 The Fan” erupts with a +1.4 to 3.9 (6+) and cracks the top ten (#13 to #8).

Eroding by -1.1 and one full-share, respectively, are Cox Media Group Classic Hits WSRV “97.1 The River” (6.5 – 5.4, third fourth, 6+) and iHeartMedia Country WUBL “94.9 The Bull” (4.3 – 3.3, #8 to #11, 6+), which was a combined +1.6 in June and July (2.7 – 3.3 – 4.3, 6+). Back in May, “The River” was #1.

Philadelphia

Five Philly stations have (6+) July 2026 – August 2026 fluctuations of at least a full-share and – as is the case in New York – there’s a tie at #1. Deadlocked in the lead are iHeartMedia Urban AC WDAS-FM “Philly’s Best R&B and Classic Soul,” a combined +1.2 in July and August (6.6 – 7.1 – 7.8, third to a first-place tie, 6+) and Beasley Broadcast Group Classic Rock WMGK “102.9 MGK,” an overall +1.8 via three straight spikes (6.0 – 6.3 – 7.4 – 7.8, second to a first-place tie, 6+). On the heels of ballooning by +1.1 (6.6 – 7.7, 6+) to advance from third to first, Audacy Adult Contemporary WBEB “Philly’s B-101” craters by twice July’s increase (5.5, -2.2, 6+) and fades to fifth. Its -2.2 represents the largest (6+) decline by any station in the first round of August 2026 info. From February through June, “B-101” was steady between 6.1 – 6.6 (6+) and last occupied the top spot in “Holiday” 2025 (17.0, 6+).

With a highly-consistent March through July profile of 3.2 – 3.2 – 3.2 – 3.4 – 3.3 (6+), Urban One Urban AC WRNB “100.3 RNB” inflates by +1.1 to 4.4 (6+) to zoom from #13 to #8. Posting full-share increases are Audacy-owned/Phillies flagship “Sports Radio 94 WIP” (6.4 – 7.4, fourth to third, 6+) and Beasley Broadcast Group Country outlet WXTU “92.5 XTU” (4.4 – 5.4, steady in seventh-place, 6+). WIP was #1 in April, May, and June; WXTU had a January through July topline between 4.3 – 4.7 (4.4 – 4.3 – 4.6 – 4.4 – 4.6 – 4.7 – 4.4, 6+).

Relinquishing the eight-tenths it garnered in July with August’s full-share loss (2.2 – 3.0 – 2.0, 6+), Audacy-owned WTDY “The New 96.6 – Feel Good Variety” slips from #15 to #17.

Nassau-Suffolk (Long Island)

A net -3.6 between February and July (10.6 – 8.9 – 8.8 – 8.3 – 7.7 – 7.0, 6+), Audacy-owned all-News “1010 WINS at 92.3 FM” answers with a +1.1 to 8.1 (6+) and is #1 the eighth time in a row. Entering the February survey period, WINS-FM was up four full-shares via three consecutive gains (6.6 – 7.0 – 9.2 – 10.6, 6+).

Following July’s modest one-tenth pickup to .1 (6+), WINS-FM’s Sports Talk sibling/Mets flagship – WHSQ “ESPN New York 880 AM” – matches WINS-FM’s +1.1 and surfaces at #17 (.1 – 1.2, 6+).

Immediately after hauling out a hefty +1.8, iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WLTW “106.7 Lite FM” “Lite” forfeits it in its entirety (4.2 – 6.0 – 4.2, -1.8, 6+) and tumbles from second to eighth.

Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario

Up a combined half-share in June and July (9.1 – 9.5 – 9.6, 6+), Entravision Spanish Adult Hits KLYY records the second-highest (6+) erosion by any station in the first round of August 2026 data (9.6 – 7.5, -2.1, 6+). Nonetheless, “José 97.5 y 107.1” is #1 the 21st  straight time.

Its lead, however, shrinks from 2.2 shares (6+) in July to one-half share as Anaheim Broadcasting Classic Hits “KOLA 99.9” is an overall +2.5 via five successive spikes (4.5 – 4.9 – 5.3 – 6.2 – 6.4 – 7.0, 6+) and remains in the runner-up slot. Meanwhile, Univision Regional Mexican KSCA “La Nueva 101.9” (2.1 – 2.7, eighth to seventh, 6+) and iHeartMedia Rhythmic CHR “99.1 KGGI” (2.0 – 2.6, #11 to #8, 6+) improve by six-tenths as well. This is the 11th straight time “La Nueva” has recorded a 6+-stat in the two-share range. KGGI’s May through August topline is: 2.9 – 2.6 – 2.0 – 2.6 (6+).

Flat at #13, Meruelo Group Spanish Contemporary KLLI “Cali 93.9” registers its fifth straight decline for an overall loss of two full-shares (3.0 – 2.6 – 2.5 – 1.8 – 1.7 – 1.0, 6+). Also faltering by seven-tenths in August is Anaheim Broadcasting’s KCAL-FM “96.7 KCAL Rocks,” a combined -1.0 in July and August (2.9 – 2.6 – 1.9, #7 to #11, 6+).

San Jose

Buoyed by a full-share gain, Univision Spanish Adult Hits KBRG returns to the top spot (5.4 – 6.4, second to first, 6+). “Amor 100.3” was #1 five months in succession, until Audacy-owned KCBS-AM & KFRC unseated it last month. Off one-tenth (5.9 – 5.8, 6+), “All News 740 AM & 106.9 FM” – a combined +1.2 in June and July (4.5 – 4.7 – 5.9, 6+) – segues from first to second. After four straight improvements that yielded a +2.6 (4.9 – 6.2 – 7.1 – 7.3 – 7.5, 6+), “Amor” entered the August sweep a combined -2.1 since May (7.5 – 6.6 – 5.8 – 5.4, 6+).

Notching August upticks of +1.2 and a full-share, respectively, are iHeartMedia-owned KOSF “Classic Hits 103.7” (2.9 – 4.1, tenth to seventh, 6+) and Univision Regional Mexican KSOL “Que Buena 98.9 y 99.1” (2.7 – 3.7, #11 to #8, 6+). “Classic Hits 103.7” had a March through July topline of 2.8 – 2.3 – 2.5 – 2.5 – 2.9 (6+), while “Que Buna” trended 2.5 – 2.5 – 2.7 (6+) the past three sweeps.

After almost tripling (net +1.5) its 6+-topline between April and July (.9 – 1.0 – 1.6 – 2.4, 6+), Lazer Media Regional Mexican KXZM “Radio Lazer 93.7” forfeits the entire gain (.9, -1.5, 6+) and slips from #14 to #18.

Middlesex-Somerset-Union

Despite plummeting by -1.6 (10.2 – 8.6, 6+), iHeartMedia Classic Rock WAXQ is #1 the eighth month in a row. Entering this survey period, “Q-104.3” was up or flat four successive months for an overall +2.2 (8.0 – 8.0 – 8.5 – 8.8 – 10.2, 6+).

Including August’s increase of a full-share, Pillar of Fire International Contemporary Christian WAWZ “Star 99.1” continues an alternating down/up pattern that began in April (2.2 – 1.9 – 2.0 – 1.7 – 2.7, #16 to #11, 6+).

Returning all but one-tenth of July’s +.9 (3.0 – 3.9 – 3.1, -.8, 6+), Beasley Broadcast Group Adult Contemporary WMGQ “Magic 98.3” falls from seventh to tenth. July’s gain halted seven straight sweeps without an increase that resulted in an overall net -2.4 (5.4 – 5.1 – 4.3 – 3.8 – 3.6 – 3.5 – 3.3 – 3.0,  6+). Also regressing by eight-tenths is Audacy-owned WCBS-FM “101.1 New York’s Greatest Hits,” which continues a rotating down/up pattern that commenced in March (5.9 – 5.7 – 6.2 – 5.8 – 6.0 – 5.2, fourth to fifth, 6+).

Round Two

Washington, DC

Bouncing back from July’s -1.2 with an August increase of four-tenths, American University-owned News/Talk WAMU is on top the fourth sweep in succession and in double-digits the eighth straight time (11.0 – 11.8 – 10.8 – 10.4 – 11.6 – 12.5 – 11.3 – 11.7, 6+).

A full-share increase (.9 – 1.9, 6+) enables Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WLVW “K-Love 107.3” to jump from #20 to #16.

Conversely, Atlantic Gateway Communications-owned/similarly-formatted “91.9 WGTS,” which had been trending 5.7 – 5.1 – 5.5 – 5.7 (April through July, 6+), carters by -2.1 to 3.6 (third to seventh, 6+).

Boston

In addition to logging a +1.1 (6.8 – 7.9, 6+), Boston University-owned WBUR repeats at #1. “Boston’s NPR News Station” also on top in April and May, as well.

Audacy Sports Talk/Red Sox flagship WEEI-FM had a February through July topline of  3.5 – 3.3 – 3.4 – 3.7 – 3.8 – 3.5 (6+). In August, “Boston’s Sports Original” surges by eight-tenths to 4.3 (6+), taking it from #12 back to the top ten (#8). By way of perspective and context, there are a few dates to consider regarding that increase. Nielsen Audio’s August 2026 survey period was July 23 – August 19; the Red Sox began a 15-game winning streak which extended from July 3rd to the 22nd.

Regressing by six-tenths each are Audacy Hot AC WBMX “Mix 104.1,” which was locked on 5.6 in June and July (5.0, fifth to sixth, 6+) and iHeartMedia Rhythmic CHR WJMN “Jam’n 94.5,” down a combined full-share in July and August (3.3 – 2.9 – 2.3, #16 to #17, 6+).

Miami

Including August’s +1.3, Audacy Classic Hits WMXJ is without a loss the fourth time in a row for a net +1.6 (5.2 – 5.2 – 5.2 – 5.5 – 6.8, 6+). Moreover, “102.7 The Beach” jumps from third to first. It’s thus a July-only stay at the top for co-owned Adult Contemporary WLYF “101.5 Lite FM” – which despite adding a combined seven-tenths in July and August (5.8 – 6.0 – 6.5, 6+) – slips from first to third.

In five-share range the past five months (5.7 – 5.2 – 5.5 – 5.3 – 5.0, 6+), Univision Spanish Contemporary WAMR “Amor 107.5” posts a +1.2 to 6.2 (6+), duplicating its February stat and climbing from sixth to fourth.

Following a July increase of four-tenths (3.2 – 3.6, 6+), Cox Media Group Urban Contemporary WEDR “99 Jamz” falters by a full-share to 2.6 (#12 to #16, 6+).

Seattle

Not only does News/Talk “94.9 KUOW” tack on a whopping +1.7 to July’s modest gain of three-tenths (7.4 – 7.7 – 9.4, 6+), the University of Washington-owned facility is #1 the eighth straight time. KUOW rocketed by +2.2 in April, but  spiraled by -2.7 in June.

Audacy Alternative KNDD “107.7 The End” answers July’s loss of two-tenths with a resounding +1.2 (4.6 – 4.4 – 5.6, 6+) to progress from sixth to third.

Meanwhile, co-owned KISW relinquishes the six-tenths it garnered in July plus three-tenths more (4.9 – 5.5 – 4.6, -.9, 6+) as “99.9 The Rock” sinks from third to seventh.

Detroit

Having squandered two full-shares between May and July (11.2 – 9.8 – 9.3 – 9.2, 6+), Audacy Sports Talk WXYT-FM “97.1 The Ticket” recovers 65% of that decrease with a +1.3 to 10.5 (6+) and is #1 the eighth straight month. The flagship of the Tigers was a combined +2.6 in March and April (8.6 – 9.0 – 11.2, 6+).

Factoring in August’s increase of four-tenths, Audacy’s WYCD “New Country 99.5” is a collective +1.6 via four consecutive months without a loss (6.0 – 6.6 – 7.2 – 7.2 – 7.6, 6+) and inches up from third to second.

On the other hand, iHeartMedia-owned Urban Contemporary “97.9 WJLB” falters for the third time in a row for a net -1.6 (5.1 – 5.0 – 4.4 – 3.5, 6+), but continues in tenth-place.

Phoenix

In addition to adding one-tenth to July’s full-share gain (5.4 – 6.4 – 6.5, 6+) Hubbard Broadcasting-owned KSLX repeats at #1. “Classic Rock 100.7” had a May-only stay at #1 and tied for July bragging rights with iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KESZ. With a March through August topline of 6.7 – 6.9 – 6.5 – 6.6 – 6.4 (6+), “99.9 KEZ” falls from a first-place tie to third.

Owing to five straight sweeps without a loss, Univision Spanish Adult Hits KOMR “Amor 106.3” is a net +1.7 (2.0 – 2.2 – 2.7 – 3.0 – 3.0 – 3.7, 6+) and zooms from #12 to #8.

iHeartMedia Adult Hits KYOT follows July’s loss of three-tenths with a -1.2 (5.0 – 4.7 – 3.5, 6+), as “95.5 The Mountain” fades from fifth to tenth.

Minneapolis

Almost tripling July’s full-share gain with an August +2.8 (7.2 – 8.2 – 11.0, 6+) iHeartMedia Sports Talk KFXN “100.3 The Fan” repeats at #1 and is in double-digits (11.0, 6+) for the first time since December 2025’s 10.3 (6+). Prior to dropping to third in June, “The Fan” spent three straight months at #1.

Regaining the half-share it lost this time last month (5.9 – 5.4 – 5.9, 6+), Audacy Adult Hits KZJK “104.1 Jack FM” inches up from seventh to sixth. Also picking up one-half share in August (6.1, sixth to fifth, 6+) is Hubbard Broadcasting Hot AC KSTP-FM “KS-95,” which had a May – June – July trend of 5.8 – 5.7 – 5.6 (6+).

Including August’s -1.1, iHeartMedia Country KEEY “K-102” is an overall – 1.6 via three consecutive down or flat moves (7.8 – 7.3 – 7.3 – 6.2, third to fourth, 6+).

San Diego

Having logged a consistent January through July topline of: 7.7 – 7.7 – 7.4 – 7.4 – 7.7 – 7.5 – 7.8 (6+), Audacy Classic Hits KXSN “Sunny 98.1” gains three-tenths to 8.1 (6+) and is #1 the fifth consecutive month.

Off a combined six-tenths in June and July (5.4 – 4.9 – 4.8, 6+), co-owned Sports Talk/Padres flagship KWFN “97.3 The Fan” erases the deficit with a full-share increase to 5.8 (6+) and jumps from sixth to third. After trending 4.3 – 4.2 – 4.3 (May – June – July, 6+), Univision Regional Mexican KLNV “Que Buena 106.5” balloons by +1.2 to 5.5 (seventh to fifth, 6+).

Without a loss the past four months for a net +1.2 (4.4 – 4.6 – 4.6 – 5.0 – 5.6, 6+), Grupo Imagen Spanish Contemporary XLTN “Radio Latina 104.5” sees it all vanish with August’s -1.3 to 4.3 (third to seventh, 6+).

Tampa

A modest increase of one-tenth returns Cox Media Group Adult Contemporary WDUV to double-digits (9.9 – 10.0, 6+), as “Lite Favorites 105.5” is #1 the seventh straight month. June’s 11.0 (6+) matched its “Holiday” 2025 topline.

The wild ride continues for Beasley Broadcast Group Country WQYK, which garnered two full-shares owing to three successive March through June spikes (2.8 – 3.4 – 3.7 – 4.8, 6+); was down nine-tenths in July; and now in August, “99.5 QYK” registers a full-share gain to 4.9 (#11 to #7, 6+).

July’s uptick of eight-tenths lifted Spanish Broadcasting System Spanish Contemporary WSUN to the two-share range (1.7 – 2.5, 6+), but “El Zol 97.1” regresses by nine-tenths to 1.6 (#17 to #18, 6+).

Denver

After trending 6.5 – 6.7 – 6.9 – 6.9 (April through July, 6+), Bonneville International Adult Contemporary KOSI “Real Music Variety” explodes with a +1.4 to 8.3 (6+) and is on top the fourth month in a row. This (8.3) is its strongest 6+-stat since “Holiday” 2025’s 12.1.

May through July’s topline for Audacy Rhythmic CHR KQKS was 2.5 – 2.7 – 2.5 (6+), but “KS-107.5” hauls out an August +1.2 to 3.7 (6+) and vaults from #16 to #11. Bonneville’s KKFN “Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan” adds a hefty +1.1 to July’s one-tenth gain (2.4 – 2.5 – 3.6, #16 to #12, 6+) and has its best 6+-showing (3.6) since January’s 5.0 (6+).

As a result of three gains in succession, KUVO “Ku-VO Jazz” nearly doubled (net +1.6) its topline (1.8 – 2.7 – 3.0 – 3.4, 6+), but the Rocky Mountain Public Media-owned outlet forfeits a -1.3 to 2.1 (#12 to #18, 6+).

Baltimore

In addition to logging a 6+-stat between 8.1 – 8.9 each month this year (8.7 – 8.9 – 8.4 – 8.3 – 8.1 – 8.3 – 8.4 – 8.9, January through August), Urban One-owned Urban AC WWIN-FM “Magic 95.9” sets the pace the eighth straight time.

After trending 6.0 – 6.7 – 6.2 – 6.8 – 6.7 (March through July, 6+), Audacy Adult Contemporary WLIF improves by eight-tenths to 7.5 (6+), its best 6+-showing since “Holiday” 2025 (11.6, 6+); “Today’s 101.9” continues in the runner-up slot.

It’s a different story for co-owned WWMX “Mix 106.5,” which had an April through July topline of 5.4 – 5.8 – 5.5 – 5.8 (6+), but craters by -1.6 to 4.2 (third to seventh), its lowest 6+-stat since January’s 3.7.

St. Louis

Boasting double-digits the past three months (10.9 – 10.5 – 10.3, May – June – July, 6+), Hubbard Broadcasting’s KSHE plummets by two full-shares to 8.3 (6+). Nonetheless, with the exception of April, “Real Rock Radio” has been #1 each month this year.

More than doubling (net +4.3) its 6+-topline in six straight spikes (3.9 – 4.7 – 5.9 – 6.6 – 6.9 – 7.0 – 8.2, 6+), Audacy-owned/Cardinals flagship KMOX “104.1 FM The Voice Of St. Louis” progresses from third to second, just one-tenth behind KSHE. Factoring in August’s +1.4, Hubbard Broadcasting Adult Hits WARH “106.5 The Arch” is in an alternating down/up pattern that surfaced in April (5.5 – 5.3 – 6.5 – 4.9 – 6.3, 6+) and zooms from ninth to fourth.

Absorbing the loftiest (6+) decrease by any station in the first two rounds of August 2026 info (10.0 – 7.5, -2.5, 6+), iHeartMedia Classic Hits “103.3 KLOU” slips from second to third with its lowest 6+-performance since February (also 7.5).

Round Three

Portland

The seven most recent fluctuations (February through August, 6+) by iHeartMedia-owned Classic Hits KLTH have been: +1.4 (8.4 – 9.8); -1.0 (9.8 – 8.8); another -1.0 (8.8 – 7.8); +1.2 (7.8 – 9.0,); +1.0 (9.0 – 10.0); -.9 (10.0 – 9.1, 6+); and -.8 (9.1 – 8.3, August, 6+). Through it all, “106.7 The Eagle” remains on top for the fourth month in a row.

An overall -3.2 between May and July via three straight drops (8.7 – 7.7 – 6.4 – 5.5, 6+), KOPB answers with a +1.1 to 6.6 (6+) and elevates from sixth to third. A combined +1.2 in March and April (7.5 – 8.5 – 8.7, 6+), the Oregon Public Broadcasting News/Talk facility had an April-only stay at #1.

In the last nine sweeps, iHeartMedia Classic Rock KFBW “105.9 The Brew” posted a 6+-stat between 5.2 – 5.8; in August, however, “105.9 The Brew” craters by -1.1 to 4.6 (fifth to seventh, 6+).

Charlotte

After an April through July topline of: 6.5 – 6.9 – 6.7 – 6.6 (6+), iHeartMedia Adult Hits WLKO “102.9 The Lake” breaks out a +1.4 to 8.0 (6+) and progresses from second back to the top spot. It was displaced from the penthouse after a June-only residence by University Radio Foundation-owned WFAE. Despite gaining a half-share and being a combined +1.6 in July and August (5.9 – 7.0 – 7.5, 6+), “Charlotte’s NPR News Source” trades places with “The Lake.” In April, WFAE and “The Lake” were in a first-place tie; WFAE took the lead in May.

Off six-tenths in July (6.6 – 6.0, 6+), Pacific Broadcasting Group Classic Hits WXRC “95.7 The Ride” posts a gain more than double that deficit (6.0 – 7.5, +1.5, 6+) to cruise from third to second. Meanwhile, Beasley Broadcast Group Country WSOC empathically erases July’s loss of two-tenths with a +1.1 (5.7 – 5.5 – 6.6, 6+) and advances from sixth to fourth.

After rocketing its 6+-stat a collective 3.5 shares via five straight surges (.3 – .7 – 1.0 – 1.1 – 2.7 – 3.8, 6+), Norsan Broadcasting-owned Regional Mexican WOLS “La Raza 106.1” spirals by -2.8 to 1.0 (#14 to #18, 6+).

San Antonio

Not only is Cox Media Group Classic Rock KTKX a combined +1.3 in July and August (6.1 – 6.8 – 7.4, 6+), “106.7 The Eagle” soars from third to first. As a result, it’s a July-only stay at #1 for co-owned Country KCYY, which slides from first to third with the largest (6+) decline by any station in the first three rounds of August 2026 info (9.0 – 6.3, -2.7, 6+). This comes immediately after “Y-100” posted a +1.9 and being a net +3.7 between April and July (5.3 – 6.6 – 7.1 – 9.0, 6+).

Frozen on 2.0 (6+) in June and July, Univision Spanish Contemporary KMYO “Amor 95.1” registers a +1.2 to 3.2 (#16 to #14, 6+), while Alpha Media Regional Mexican KSAH “Norteño 104.1 y 720 AM” tacks on a full-share to July’s increase of four-tenths (1.0 – 1.4 – 2.4, #16, 6+).

Also in the Spanish Contemporary format, iHeartMedia-owned KZEP “104.5 Latino Hits” is a combined -1.5 in July and August (3.7 – 3.0 – 2.2, #14 to #17, 6+). “Latino Hits” was without a loss between January and June for an overall +2.1, more than doubling its 6+-stat (1.6 – 2.3 – 3.4 – 3.4 – 3.5 – 3.7, 6+).

Sacramento

Locked on 8.2 (6+) in May and June and now stuck on 8.5 (6+) in July and August, Audacy Classic Rock KSEG repeats at #1. The twist, however, is that “96.9 The Eagle” is joined at the top by iHeartMedia-owned KFBK “News 93.1,” an overall +1.9 via three straight spikes (6.6 – 6.9 – 8.4 – 8.5, second to a first-place tie, 6+). “The Eagle” was #1 in March and May; “News 93.1” was on top in January and February.

Expanding by +1.2 and +1.5, respectively, are Bonneville Hot AC KZZO “Now 100.5,” a combined +1.5 in July and August (3.1 – 3.4 – 4.6, #13 to #7, 6+) and Audacy-owned “102.5 KSFM,” a net +2.1 in the same timeframe (2.2 – 2.8 4.3, #15 to #10, 6+).

Relinquishing in full the seven-tenths it gained in July (2.9 – 3.6 – 2.9, 6+), iHeartMedia’s KYRV “93.7 The River” slips from #11 to #14.

Pittsburgh

With iHeartMedia Classic Hits WWSW “94.5 3WS” gaining nine-tenths (10.8 – 11.7, 6+) and Audacy Sports Talk KDKA-FM “93.7 The Fan” slumping by eight-tenths (11.9 – 11.1, 6+), WWSW advances from second to first, while “The Fan” shifts from first to second. The exact opposite took place this time last month. “The Fan” was on top in January and April, while “94.5 3WS” led the way in May and June and is in double-digits (6+) the 14th consecutive time and 16th in the last 17 survey periods.

Off a modest one-tenth this time last month (3.8 – 3.7, 6+), Steel City Media Hot AC WLTJ “Q-92.9” answers with a gain of six-tenths to 4.3 (tenth to eighth, 6+).

Factoring in August’s loss of eight-tenths, Renda Media’s WHJB “Classic Hits 107.1” is in an alternating up/down sequence that surfaced in February (1.8 – 2.0 – 1.8 – 1.9 – 1.5 – 2.6 – 1.8, #13 to #16, 6+).

Salt Lake City

Bonneville International’s KRSP “103.5 The Arrow” repeats July’s 7.7 (6+) and is #1 the eighth month in a row. “The Arrow” was a combined +1.9 in March and April (7.5 – 8.6 – 9.4, 6+), but a collective -1.7 since then (9.4 – 8.7 – 8.0 – 7.7 – 7.7, 6+).

Locked on 5.0 (6+) in May and June and then off eight-tenths in July to 4.2 (6+), independently-owned/Country-formatted KSOP-FM “Z-104” bounces back with a +1.1 to 5.3 (6+) and carries on in seventh-place.

Owing to August’s decrease of nine-tenths, iHeartMedia Classic Hits “94.1 KODJ” continues an alternating down/up pattern that began in March (6.1 – 4.7 – 5.6 – 5.2 – 6.5 – 5.6, third to fifth, 6+). Following a May – June – July trend of 1.7 – 1.9 – 1.6 (6+), Brigham Young University-owned KBYU “Classical 89” notches a full-share gain to 2.6 (#16 to #14, 6+).

Las Vegas

Logging a very consistent May – June – July – August topline of 7.2 – 7.1 – 7.7 – 7.5 (6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KSNE sets the pace the fourth successive month. Following its February – March – April showing of 5.5 – 5.4 – 5.5 (6+), “Sunny 106.5” escalated in May by +1.7 to 7.2 (6+).

After recording a 1.7 in three of the last four sweeps (1.7 – 2.0 – 1.7 – 1.7, April through July, 6+), Beasley Broadcast Group’s KVGS improves by nine-tenths to 2.6, its best 6+-showing since November 2025’s 2.9 (6+); Hot AC “107.9 VGS” rockets from #20 to #11.

Without a loss the past four months for a net +1.5 (3.3 – 3.3 – 4.3 – 4.6 – 4.8, 6+), Lotus Communications-owned KOMP 92.3 The Rock Station” falters by a full-share to 3.8 (fifth to seventh, 6+).

Orlando

Entering the May sweep, WMGF had been in double-digits six consecutive times: 14.5 – 21.0 – 10.8 – 11.0 – 11.0 – 10.3 (6+), but then trended 9.3 – 9.0 – 9.9 (May – June – July, 6+). In August, “Magic 107.7” adds seven-tenths and is back in double-digits (10.6, 6+). Moreover, the iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary outlet is #1 the 10th time in succession.

The three most recent vacillations by Cox Media Group-owned “98.9 WMMO Orlando’s Classic Hits” are: +1.4 (6.5 – 7.9, June, 6+); -.5 (7.9 – 7.4, July, 6+) and August’s +1.5 (7.4 – 8.9,  steady in second-place, 6+). Including this sweep’s +1.4, Audacy Classic Hits WOCL  “105.9 Sunny FM” – which carries on in third place – is in a rotating down/up pattern that began in April (8.2 – 7.1 – 7.2 – 6.9 – 8.3, 6+).

Up a combined four-tenths in June and July (3.7 – 3.8 – 4.1, 6+), Spanish Broadcasting System Spanish Contemporary WPYO “El Zol 95.3” regresses by nine-tenths to 3.2, its lowest 6+-stat since March’s 3.0 and exits the top ten (#10 to #13).

Cincinnati

Adding a +1.1 to July’s increase of eight-tenths (9.5 – 10.3 – 11.4, 6+), iHeartMedia’s WLW “News Radio 700” repeats at #1. The Reds flagship was also #1 in February, March, and April.

Notwithstanding that it increases by three-tenths, co-owned Sports Talk WCKY “Cincinnati’s ESPN 1530” remains below a one-share for the fifth straight sweep (.6 – .6 – .6 – .5 – .8, 6+) and continues at #17.

In June and July, Hubbard Broadcasting Hot AC WREW notched back-to-back increases of nine-tenths and was an overall +2.4 via six consecutive months without a loss (3.5 – 3.5 – 4.0 – 4.1 – 4.1 – 5.0 – 5.9, 6+). Even though “Mix 94.9” falters by a full share to 4.9 (6+), it repeats in fourth-place. Meanwhile, Cincinnati Public Radio-owned WGUC entered the July sweep with a net +1.3 via four straight months without a loss (3.7 – 3.9 – 3.9 – 4.4 – 5.0, 6+), but “Classical 90.9” is a combined -2.1 in July and August (5.0 – 4.4 – 2.9, fifth to seventh, 6+).

Cleveland

Not only does WTAM garner three-tenths to 9.0 (6+), the iHeartMedia outlet progresses from second to first; it was also on top in April, May, and June. Entering this sweep, “News Radio 1100 AM” was a combined -1.5 in three consecutive down or flat trends (10.2 – 10.2 – 9.3 – 8.7, 6+). It’s thus a July-only stay at #1 for co-owned Classic Hits WMJI “Majic 105.7,” off a combined full-share in July and August (9.1 – 8.8 – 8.1, first to second, 6+). One year ago (August 2025), “Majic” began a string of nine successive sweeps at #1.

More than doubling July’s uptick of six-tenths with a +1.4 (5.1 – 5.7 – 7.1, 6+), Audacy Sports Talk WKRK “92.3 The Fan” advances from seventh to fourth and reaches a seven-share for the first time since January’s 7.3 (6+).

Off a modest one-tenth in July to 8.3 (6+), co-owned WNCX “98.5 Cleveland’s Classic Rock” falters in August by -1.2 to 7.1 (third to fourth, 6+)

Kansas City

Regaining half of July’s modest -.2 (7.0 – 6.8 – 6.9, 6+), Steel City Media CHR KMXV “Mix 93.3” is #1 the seventh straight month. “Mix” was up a combined four-tenths in May and June (6.6 – 6.7 – 7.0, 6+).

After surrendering seven-tenths to 4.5 (6+) in July, Audacy-owned KQRC expunges that deficit with an August increase of eight-tenths to 5.3 (6+) as “98.9 The Rock” progresses from fifth to second.

On the heels of July’s whopping +1.7 (4.6 – 6.3, 6+), Steel City Media Adult Hits KCKC “102.1 Bob FM” regresses by a full-share to 5.3 (6+), but repeats in the runner-up slot.

Columbus

An overall +1.7 in May – June – July (7.4 – 7.7 – 8.8 – 9.1, 6+), iHeartMedia’s Country-formatted “92.3 WCOL” flounders by nine-tenths to 8.2 (6+), but is #1 the eighth time in a row. WCOL, however, has company at the top, as co-owned CHR WNCI, which had been trending 6.3 – 6.5 – 6.2 (May – June – July, 6+) erupts with a surge of two full-shares to 8.2 (second to a first-place tie, 6+). The last time “97.9 Columbus’ Hit Music” reached an eight-share was nearly a year ago (September 2025, 8.0, 6+).

Precisely doubling July’s half-share increase with a full-share uptick (5.3 – 5.8 – 6.8, 6+), Tegna Sports Talk WBNS-FM “97.1 The Fan” advances from fourth to third with its best 6+-showing (6.8) since January’s 7.0 (6+).

North American Broadcasting Company Adult Contemporary WJKR-HD2 relinquishes roughly half its July +1.4 (2.7 – 1.9, -.8, 6+) and tumbles from #11 to #17. Between “Holiday” 2025 and June, its 6+-stat was exclusively in one-share range (1.0 – 1.2 – 1.6 – 1.8 – 1.8 – 1.7 – 1.3, 6+).

Round Four

Austin

Leading the way the sixth straight month – and factoring in August’s decrease of eight-tenths – University of Texas at Austin-owned News/Talk “KUT 90.5” continues an alternating down/up pattern that surfaced in March: 10.0 – 9.7 – 10.5 – 9.8 – 10.3 – 9.5 (6+).

Waterloo Media Group Adult Hits KBPA “103.5 Bob FM” more than doubles July’s +.9 with a whopping +2.1 (6.1 – 7.0 – 9.1, 6+) and advances from third to second. Nosediving by -2.2 this time last month (6.4 – 4.2, 6+), iHeartMedia-owned/Country-formatted “KASE 100.7” bounces back with a +1.4 to 5.6 (ninth to fourth, 6+). Prior to July’s 4.2 (6+), KASE hadn’t been below a five-share since “Holiday” 2025’s 4.1 (6+).

Up two-tenths in July (8.1 – 8.3, 6+), University of Texas at Austin Triple A “98.9 KUTX” collapses by -1.3 to 7.0 (second to third, 6+). Owing to three straight dips – including August’s -1.1 – iHeartMedia CHR KHFI “96.7 Kiss FM” is an overall -1.8 (5.0 – 4.9 – 4.3 – 3.2, #8 to #11, 6+).

Raleigh

After forfeiting a combined two full-shares in June and July (10.0 – 9.9 – 8.0, 6+), North Carolina at Chapel Hill-owned WUNC “North Carolina Public Radio” regains 80% of that loss with a +1.6 to 9.6 (6+) and is #1 the 17thtime in succession.

Curtis Media Group Adult Hits WBBB “96.1 BBB” posts its third straight spike for an overall +1.9 (5.3 – 6.2 – 6.3 – 7.2, 6+) and climbs from sixth to fourth. This (7.2) is its best 6+-stat since March (8.6, 6+).

Faltering by one full-share each are WBBB’s Regional Mexican sibling, WYMY “La Ley 101.1” (3.7 – 2.7, #10 to #11, 6+) and iHeartMedia Country WNCB “B-93.9” (#12 to #16). WYMY’s four latest fluctuations are: -.9 (May); -1.7 (June); +1.1 (July); and -1.0 (August). Entering the August sweep, “B-93.9” was a collective +1.5 in four straight up or flat trends (1.7 – 2.1 – 2.1 – 3.0 – 3.2, 6+).

Indianapolis

For the second month in a row, Urban One Adult Contemporary WYXB “B-105.7” and co-owned Urban AC “106.7 WTLC-FM” switch places at the top. This time “B-105.7” (8.7 – 8.5, -.2, 6+) moves from second to first, while WTLC-FM (9.8 – 8.0, -1.8, 6+) exits the top spot and takes over at #2. WYXB is back in the penthouse after a June-only stay there. In August, “B-105.7” had its best 6+-stat (8.7) since “Holiday” 2025’s 13.7 (6+). WTLC-FM was tied for the lead in April and in sole possession of #1 in May, owing to a whopping +2.3 (7.5 – 9.8, 6+).

Frozen on 2.5 (6+) in June and July, University of Indianapolis-owned Jazz/Classical hybrid WICR “88.7 Diamond” puts up a full-share increase to 3.5 (tenth to seventh, 6+).

Eroding by -1.3 to 3.1 (6+), Urban One Urban Contemporary WHHH slips from seventh to ninth. “Hot 100.9” was down a total of eight-tenths in May and June (4.3 – 3.9 – 3.5, 6+), but erased that deficit with July’s +.9 to 4.4 (6+).

Milwaukee

After posting a 6+-stat within 8.4 – 8.8 range six months in a row (8.8 – 8.8 – 8.6 – 8.8 – 8.4 – 8.7, January through June, 6+), iHeartMedia Classic Hits WRIT “95.7 Big FM” nets two full-shares in July and August (8.7 – 9.4 – 10.7, 6+) and is #1 the fifth successive sweep.

Steady in the runner-up slot, iHeartMedia’s WISN wipes away July’s -.6 with August’s +.9 (8.1 – 7.5 – 8.4, , 6+). Back in “Holiday” 2025, “News Talk 1130” curtailed a staggering 29 straight times at #1; WISN returned to the top in January; February; and March. Within 5.5 – 5.8 range (6+) the past five months (5.7 – 5.8 – 5.8 – 5.8 – 5.5 (6+), Saga Communications-owned Rock WHQC “102.9 The Hog” improves by nine-tenths to 6.4 (6+) and progresses from sixth to third. Ironically, WHQC’s cluster-mate, WKLH “Classic Rock 96.5,” makes an identical move (5.5 – 6.4, +.9, sixth to third, 6+). Down three-tenths in July (5.8 – 5.5, 6+), WKLH was +1.1 in June (4.7 – 5.8, 6+).

A combined -1.5 in July and August (6.3 – 5.8 – 4.8, 6+), Good Karma Broadcasting News/Talk and Brewers flagship “620 WTMJ Wisconsin’s Radio Station” backslides from fourth to ninth.

Nashville

In the last three sweeps, Midwest Communications Adult Contemporary WJXA has eroded by three full-shares (15.0 – 13.9 – 13.3 – 12.0, 6+). Nonetheless, “Mix 92.9” remains #1 the 12th straight time and posts double-digits the tenth consecutive sweep. Entering the June survey period, “Mix” was an overall +3.7 in three straight advances (11.3 – 13.0 – 14.7 – 15.0, March – April – May, 6+).

Notching August gains of a full-share are Nashville Public Radio-owned WPLN-FM (unchanged in third-place) and iHeartMedia CHR WRVW “107.5 The River” (5.2 – 6.2, steady in fourth-place, 6+). This is WPLN’s third spike in succession for a net +3.3 (5.0 – 5.5 – 7.3 – 8.3, 6+). Meanwhile, “The River” was down an overall nine-tenths via three consecutive declines (6.5 – 6.1 – 5.9 – 5.6, 6+); was +1.6 in June; but plunged by two full-shares in July.

A combined -2.5 in July and August (6.3 – 5.0 – 3.8, 6+), Cromwell Radio Group Alternative WBUZ “102.9 The Buzz” drops from sixth to ninth. “The Buzz” essentially doubled (net +3.1) its 6+ topline in three successive gains (3.2 – 3.8 – 5.1 – 6.3, March through May, 6+).

Providence

On top the seventh month in succession, Hall Communications-owned WCTK is nonetheless down the third straight time for a net loss of -1.4 (10.8 – 10.2 – 9.8 – 9.4, 6+).  “Cat Country 98.1” was an overall +4.2 between “Holiday” 2025 and May 2026 (6.6 – 7.5 – 9.1 – 9.4 – 10.1 – 10.8, 6+).

Factoring in August’s +1.3, iHeartMedia Hot AC WSNE “Now 93.3” is a collective +1.7 via three straight sweeps without a loss and reaches a seven-share (5.3 – 5.7 – 5.7 – 7.0, fourth to third, 6+).

Conversely, after picking up a collective seven-tenths in three successive modest gains (7.4 – 7.8 – 8.0 – 8.1, 6+), WSNE’s Classic Hits sibling, WWBB “B-101,” falters by -1.3 (6.8, second to fourth, 6+). and is below a seven-share for the first time since last November’s 6.3 (6+).

Norfolk

Down a combined six-tenths in July and August (13.1 – 13.0 – 12.5, 6+), Audacy Urban AC WVKL “95-7 R&B” is #1 the 20th sweep in succession and in double-digits the tenth straight time.

Adding a full-share to July’s gain of four-tenths (3.9 – 4.3 – 5.3, 6+), iHeartMedia Urban Contemporary WJBT “93.3 The Beat” improves from tenth to ninth.

Nearly tripling (net +5.1) its 6+-topline through three gains in succession (2.8 – 5.8 – 7.5 – 7.9, April through July, 6+), Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WJKV “K-Love 90.9” regresses by -1.1 to 6.8 (third to fourth, 6+).

West Palm Beach

Despite seeing its full-share July surge wiped away by August’s -1.1 (14.8 – 15.8 – 14.1, 6+), Hubbard Broadcasting-owned Classic Hits WEAT “Sunny 107.9” is both #1 the 12th time in a row – and – in double-digits the 12thstraight time. A -6.3 back in January ended WEAT’s string of seven successive increases that netted an astonishing +14.3 (4.9 – 5.3 – 6.6 – 8.8 – 11.6 – 13.3 – 14.5 – 19.2, 6+).

Within a very consistent 1.0 – 1.3 range (6+) in each of the last eight survey periods, Glades Media Group Regional Mexican WLLY “La Ley 99.5” dials up a +.9 to 2.2 (6+) and enters the top ten (#13 to #9).

When WRLX registered a +.7 to 2.0 (6+) this time last month, it ended nine consecutive survey periods in which “Mia 94.3” logged a topline in 1.0 – 1.8 territory (6+). Down four-tenths in August to 1.6 (6+), the iHeartMedia Spanish Contemporary outlet falls from #9 to #12. Also slumping by four-tenths to 1.6 (6+) and thus making an identical #9 to #12 move is co-owned “News Radio 1290 WJNO,” up a combined half-share in June and July (1.5 – 1.8 – 2.0, 6+).

Greensboro

Off a modest three-tenths to 11.9 (6+) after netting a +2.9 in June and July (9.3 – 11.0 – 12.2, 6+), Audacy Urban AC WQMG “97.1 QMG” repeats at #1. In May, WQMG eroded by -2.6 to 9.3 (6+), exiting the top spot it held the previous four months.

Educational Media Foundation-owned Contemporary Christian WWLV’s April through July topline was: 7.1 – 7.7 – 7.7 – 7.5 (6+); however, in August, “K-Love 94.1” erupts by +1.5 to 9.0 (fourth to third), its strongest 6+-showing since March’s 10.2.

An uptick of seven-tenths this time last month enabled iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WMAG to reach double-digits (10.0, 6+) for the first time since January (10.7, 6+). In August though, “Mix 99.5” falters by -1.4 to 8.6 (6+) and slips from third to fourth.
