Shown here are my takeaways from all 48 PPM-measured markets, based on Nielsen Audio’s 6+ total week stats from the May 2026 ratings period.

Round One

New York

Despite a modest dip of two-tenths (8.1 – 7.9, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WLTW “106.7 Lite FM” is  #1 the third month in succession. Entering the May sweep, “Lite” was an overall +1.1 via three straight up or flat trends (7.0 – 7.4 – 7.4 – 8.1, 6+).

Adding one-half share to April’s increase of one-tenth (4.3 – 4.4 – 4.9, 6+), WLTW’s Classic Rock sibling – WAXQ “Q-104.3” – vaults from eighth to fifth and matches its 4.9 (6+) from exactly one year ago (May 2025).

As a result of four consecutive downturns, New York Public Radio-owned News/Talk WNYC-FM is down one full-share (5.1 – 5.0 – 4.9 – 4.7 – 4.1, 6+), and slumps from fifth to ninth.

Los Angeles

Without a loss the third successive sweep for a net gain of nine-tenths (6.2 – 6.5 – 7.1 – 7.1, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KOST “Coast 103.5” is #1 the seventh ratings period in a row. From September through “Holiday” 2025, “Coast” more than doubled (net +7.8) its 6+-topline (5.5 – 5.7 – 6.5 – 11.2 – 13.3, 6+).

In addition to picking up one-half share and continuing in third-place, Audacy Classic Hits KRTH “K-Earth 101” registers its seventh straight topline in the five-share range: 5.8 – 5.6 – 5.7 – 5.8 – 5.0 – 5.0 – 5.5 (6+).

A combined -1.3 the past two sweeps – including May’s -1.2 (3.7 – 3.6 – 2.4, 6+), Univision Regional Mexican KSCA “LA Nueva 101.9” nosedives from #7 to #17. Meanwhile, in mid-May (5-18), Audacy-owned KNX-AM & KNX-FM pulled the plug on its all-News simulcast. Meanwhile, “Mix” moves from a second-place tie to a deadlock at #1 and has a very consistent January 2026 through May 2026 trend of: 5.5 – 5.4 – 5.6 – 5.7 – 5.6 (6+).

After forfeiting more than two-thirds of its 6+ topline (net -8.4) via four successive down or flat sweeps (12.4 – 5.2 – 5.0 – 5.0 – 4.0, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WLIT “93.9 Lite FM” registers an increase of six-tenths to 4.6 (sixth to fifth, 6+). On the basis of a half-share gain to 4.8 (6+), iHeartMedia Hot AC KDMX “Mix 102.9” reduces roughly half its overall -.9 in March and April (5.2 – 4.5 – 4.3, 6+). “Mix” is #1 the fifth consecutive time – but – is now tied for the lead with co-owned Adult Contemporary KDGE “Star 102.1,” which gains seven-tenths to progress from the runner-up slot. “Star” has a January through May topline of: 4.4 – 4.2 – 4.3 – 4.2 – 4.9 (6+).

After 11 straight times at #1, Hubbard Broadcasting-owned all-News WTOP departs the “top” spot and segues to #2. In double-digits (6+) the 19th survey period in succession, WTOP is nonetheless off an overall five full-shares in March – April – May (15.2 – 14.3 – 12.9 – 10.2, 6+). An overall -1.3 in three straight decreases (3.4 – 2.9 – 2.8 – 2.1, 6+), Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WDKL “K-Love 102.7” answers with a +1.2 to 3.3 (#17 to #13, 6+).

Without a loss the past three survey periods for a net +1.2 (6.3 – 6.3 – 7.0 – 7.5, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary “100.3 WNIC” regresses by seven-tenths to 6.8 (second to third, 6+).

It thus curtails at seven iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KESZ’s consecutive stay in the penthouse. Factoring in May’s -.4, “99.9 KEZ” continues an alternating up/down pattern that began last December: 14.0 – 16.8 – 7.5 – 8.0 – 6.7 – 6.9 – 6.5 (first to second, 6+).

Minneapolis

Traditional ties at #1 are not that uncommon, but a three-way deadlock for the lead composed of cluster-mates is a rarity, which is exactly what the Twin Cities has in May. Sharing the top spot are iHeartMedia-owned Sports Talk KFXN “100.3 The Fan” (8.2 – 7.8, -.4, third straight month at #1, 6+); Country sibling KEEY “K-102,” which has its fifth straight gain for a net +3.8 (4.0 – 5.3 – 5.8 – 6.3 – 7.2 – 7.8, third to first, 6+); and co-owned Classic Hits KQQL “Kool 108” (7.0 – 7.8, +.8, fourth to first, 6+).

A combined -1.4 in February and March (8.6 – 7.7 – 7.2, 6+), KNOW had a February-only stay at #1. Having logged a 6.6 (6+) in March and 6.8 (6+) in April, Hubbard Broadcasting Hot AC KSTP-FM “KS-95” drops a full-share to 5.8 (fifth to sixth, 6+).

San Diego

Down or flat four times in succession for a net loss of seven-tenths (8.1 – 7.7 – 7.7 – 7.4 – 7.4, 6+), Audacy Classic Hits KXSN answers with a May gain of three-tenths to 7.7 (6+); “Sunny 98.1” repeats at #1.

The three most recent fluctuations by Local Media San Diego-programmed Rhythmic Hot AC XHRM “Magic 92.5” have been +1.2 in March (6.7 – 7.9, 6+); -1.2 in April (7.9 – 6.7, 6+); and now -1.8 in May (6.7 – 4.9, third to fourth, 6+). “Magic” had a March-only stay at #1. Sputtering by -1.3 in May, Audacy Adult Contemporary KYXY “Kick-See 96.5” has plummeted by nine full-shares in five straight down or flat sweeps (13.7 – 6.7 – 6.3 – 6.0 – 6.0 – 4.7, fourth to fifth, 6+). Meanwhile, iHeartMedia’s “News Radio 600 KOGO” drops one full-share (3.9 – 2.9, #8 to #14, 6+).

Tampa

Albeit that it’s trending 9.8 – 9.7 – 9.0 (March – April – May, 6+), Cox Media Group Adult Contemporary WDUV “Lite Favorites 105.5” is #1 the fourth successive month.

A no-show in March and registering a .1 (6+) in April, Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WKVZ “K-Love 98.7” improves by a full-share to 1.1 (6+) and surfaces at #20.

Within 4.2 – 4.8 range (6+) the past four sweeps (4.8 – 4.6 – 4.2 – 4.7, 6+), iHeartMedia Country WFUS “US-103.5” spirals by one full-share and matches “Holiday” 2025’s 3.7 (eighth to tenth, 6+).

Denver

Including May’s modest increase of two-tenths, Bonneville International Adult Contemporary KOSI continues an alternating down/up pattern that began in January: 7.0 – 6.7 – 7.0 – 6.5 – 6.7 (6+). Moreover, “Real Music Variety” advances from second to first. KOSI displaces  Audacy Classic Rock KQMT “99.5 The Mountain,” which is a combined -1.2 in April and May (7.1 – 6.8 – 5.9, 6+). After three straight months at #1, KQMT takes over in second-place. Back in February, “The Mountain” ended KOSI’s string of 12 straight stays at #1.

As a result of a +.9 to 2.7 (#20 to #15, 6+), Rocky Mountain Public Media-owned KUVO “Ku-Vo Jazz” fully erases its combined half-share loss the past two sweeps (2.3 – 2.2 – 1.8, 6+).

Conversely, Audacy Rhythmic CHR KQKS “KS-107.5” falters by nine-tenths and is a collective -1.3 in April and May (3.8 – 3.4 – 2.5, #11 to #19, 6+).

Baltimore

Notwithstanding that it’s an overall -.8 the past three sweeps (8.9 – 8.4 – 8.3 – 8.1, 6+), Urban One-owned Urban AC WWIN-FM “Magic 95.9” sets the pace the fifth month in a row.

Bouncing back from April’s decline of six-tenths with a May uptick of four-tenths (6.0 – 5.4 – 5.8, 6+), Audacy-owned WWMX “Mix 106.5” pushes up from fourth to third.

It would have been a tough act for WRBS-FM “Bright FM” to follow its massive +2.4 this time last month. In May, the Peter & John Radio Fellowship-owned Contemporary Christian outlet forfeits 25% of that bounty to 4.8 (-.6, fourth to fifth, 6+).

St. Louis

Despite logging its fifth consecutive increase for a collective +3.6 and reaching double-digits (6.6 – 7.3 – 7.5 – 8.3 – 9.3 – 10.2, 6+), iHeartMedia Classic Hits “103.3 KLOU” has an April-only stay at #1 and slips to #2. In April, KLOU succeeded Hubbard Broadcasting’s KSHE “Real Rock Radio,” which had been on top the previous three months. Now, KSHE (8.7 – 10.9, +2.2, 6+) returns to the penthouse and matches the 10.9 (6+) it notched last August. “Real Rock Radio” was frozen on 7.5 (6+) in December and “Holiday” 2025; locked on 8.4 (6+) in February and March; and added three-tenths in April.

Including May’s increase of nine-tenths, iHeartMedia Country KSD “93.7 The Bull” (ninth to fifth) is in a rotating up/down pattern that started in “Holiday” 2025: 5.1 – 6.9 – 6.4 – 5.7 – 5.1 – 6.0 (6+).

In light of its May loss of nine-tenths, Audacy Adult Contemporary “102.5 KEZK” is a combined -1.2 the past two survey periods (7.2 – 6.9 – 6.0, third to fifth, 6+).

Round Three

Portland

The four most recent variations by iHeartMedia-owned Classic Hits KLTH have been: +1.4 (8.4 – 9.8, February, 6+); -1.0 (9.8 – 8.8, March, 6+); another -1.0 (8.8 – 7.8, April, 6+); and now +1.2 in May to 9.0 (6+); “106.7 The Eagle” soars from second to first. A combined +1.2 in March and April (7.5 – 8.5 – 8.7, 6+), Oregon Public Broadcasting News/Talk KOPB regresses by one full-share to 7.7 (6+) and – after an April-only stay at #1 – “OPB Radio” trades places with “The Eagle.”

As a result of three straight sweeps without a loss – including May’s +.7 – Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian KPOZ “Air 1” essentially triples (+1.3) its 6+-stat (.7 – .7 – 1.3 – 2.0, #18 to #16, 6+).

Conversely, Connoisseur Media CHR KBFF “Live 95.5” is down or flat the tenth survey period in succession for a net loss of -2.1 (3.5 – 2.9 – 2.6 – 2.6 – 2.6 – 2.6 – 2.6 – 2.5 – 2.2 – 2.1 – 1.4, #16 to #18, 6+).

Charlotte

For the second month in a row, six stations here register (6+) month – month swings of at least one full-share. Included in that sextet is University Radio Foundation-owned WFAE. Not only is “Charlotte’s NPR News Source” an overall +1.9 the past three months (5.7 – 6.2 – 6.5 – 7.6,  6+), it repeats at #1. Even though iHeartMedia Adult Hits WLKO regains four-tenths of April’s -1.4 (7.9 – 6.5 – 6.9, 6+), “102.9 The Lake” segues from a first-place April tie with WFAE to the runner-up slot.

With a whopping +1.7 (3.4 – 5.1, 6+), Davidson College-owned WDAV “Classical Public Radio” more than doubles April’s increase of eight-tenths and rockets into the top ten (#15 to #8).

After exploding with a +1.5 in April to 5.7 (6+), iHeartMedia Classic Rock WRFX “99.7 The Fox” surrenders two-thirds of that increase to 4.7 (-1.0, fourth to ninth, 6+). Prior to April, “The Fox” last reached a five-share (6+) in August 2025 (5.3, 6+). It’s another major shift for Beasley Broadcast Group Urban Contemporary WPEG. After more than doubling (net +4.3) its 6+-topline in five straight gains (3.1 – 3.9 – 4.5 – 5.0 – 6.3 – 7.4, 6+), “Power 98” is now a combined -3.4 in April and May (7.4 – 5.4 – 4.0, 6+) and plunges from #6 to #14. Faltering by -1.6 and -1.4, respectively, are iHeartMedia CHR WHQC “Hits 96.1” (3.8 – 2.2, #14 to #15, 6+) and Urban One-owned WFNZ “Sports Radio 92.7” (3.4 – 2.0, #15 to #16, 6+).

San Antonio

On top the past four months, Cox Media Group Classic Rock KTKX “106.7 The Eagle” slumps by -1.3 (7.5 – 6.2, 6+) and shifts to third-place. Succeeding “The Eagle” at #1 is its Classic Rock sibling – KONO-FM – which is up a combined six-tenths in April and May (6.2 – 6.5 – 6.8, second to first, 6+).

Their Country cluster-mate, KCYY “Y-100” (5.3 – 6.6, third to second, 6+), and Univision Regional Mexican KROM “Que Buena 92.9” (3.4 – 4.5, #11 to #5, 6+) improve by +1.3 and +1.1, respectively. “Y-100” was down a collective full-share in March and April (6.3 – 5.6 – 5.3, 6+).  The “Holiday” 2025 through April 2026 topline for “Que Buena” was: 3.5 – 3.8 – 3.9 – 3.9 – 3.4 (6+).

After trending 3.3 – 3.1 – 3.2 (February through April, 6+), KROM’s Spanish Contemporary cluster-mate, KMYO “Amor 95.1,” regresses by nine-tenths to 2.3 (#15 to #18, 6+).

Sacramento

Not only does Audacy Classic Rock KSEG answer April’s -1.1 with a May improvement of nine-tenths (7.3 – 8.2, 6+), “96.9 The Eagle” returns to #1; KSEG had a March-only residence at the top. Bonneville International Adult Contemporary KYMX’s seven most recent (6+) fluctuations are: +1.2 (December 2025); +1.2 (“Holiday” 2025); -3.4 (January 2026); +1.1 (February); -1.8 (March); +1.1 (April); and now -.7 in May (7.6 – 6.9, 6+). After April’s #1 residency, “Mix 96” dips to the runner-up slot. “Mix” also was #1 in December; “Holiday” 2025; and February 2026.

After posting a 4.2 (6+) in three of the last four survey periods (4.2 – 4.9 – 4.2 – 4.2, 6+), Audacy CHR KUDL “106.5 The End” breaks out a +1.2 to 5.4 (6+) and zooms from eighth to fourth.

Up a combined half-share in March and April (4.7 – 4.9 – 5.2, 6+), iHeartMedia-owned KSTE-AM “Talk 650” forfeits eight-tenths to 4.4 (fifth to eighth, 6+).

Pittsburgh

This time last month, Audacy Sports Talk KDKA-FM “93.7 The Fan” succeeded iHeartMedia Classic Hits WWSW “94.5 3WS” at the top. Roles are reversed in May with “94.5 3WS” (10.3 – 10.0, -.3, second to first, 6+) displacing “93.7 The Fan” (11.2 – 9.8, -1.4, first to second, 6+). WWSW is in double-digits (6+) the 11th consecutive time and 13th in the last 14 sweeps. “The Fan” was +2.1 in April (9.0 – 11.2, 6+).

Lopping on nine-tenths to April’s one-tenth increase (8.3 – 8.4 – 9.3, 6+), iHeartMedia’s “102.5 WDVE Rocks” advances from fourth to third, reaching a nine-share (9.3, 6+) for the first time since last December’s 9.5 (6+).

Squandering seven-tenths each are Renda Media Adult Contemporary WSHH “Wish 99.7” (7.0 – 6.3, flat in fifth-place, 6+) and iHeartMedia Country WPGB “Big 104.7” (2.8 – 2.1, #12 to #14, 6+). “Wish” continues an alternating up/down pattern that began last December: 8.3 – 11.8 – 6.8 – 7.0 – 6.8 – 7.0 – 6.3 (6+). For the past three months, “Big” was locked on 2.8 (6).

Salt Lake City

A combined +1.9 in March and April (7.5 – 8.6 – 9.4, 6+), Bonneville International’s KRSP surrenders seven-tenths to 8.7 (6+). Even so, “103.5 The Arrow” remains on top the fifth consecutive month.

Following April’s -1.4 (6.1 – 4.7, 6+), iHeartMedia Classic Hits “94.1 KODJ” rebounds with a spike of nine-tenths to 5.6 (sixth to fifth, 6+).

Off seven-tenths and dropping from fourth to sixth, Bonneville International-owned KSL “News Radio 102.7 FM” logs its sixth straight topline between 5.0 – 5.8 (5.6 – 5.0 – 5.0 – 5.5 – 5.8 – 5.1, “Holiday 2025 through May 2026, 6+).

Las Vegas

Although April’s top spot deadlock is resolved, neither of last month’s pacesetters is #1 in May. After posting a February – March – April line of 5.5 – 5.4 – 5.5 (6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KSNE “Sunny 106.5” erupts with a +1.7 to 7.2 (6+) and jumps from third to first. Despite being an overall +2.5 via four straight upticks (4.1 – 4.9 – 5.3 – 5.8 – 6.6, 6+), Audacy Rhythmic Hot AC KXQQ “Q-100.5” has an April-only residence at #1 and takes over at #2. Meanwhile, Beasley Broadcast Group Classic Hits “96.3 KKLZ” drops one-tenth to 5.7 (6+) and – after three months at the top – slips to third-place.

Down a combined six-tenths in March and April (3.9 – 3.3 – 3.3, 6+), Lotus Communications-owned KOMP “92.3 The Rock Station” eradicates that deficit with a full-share increase to 4.3 (eighth to seventh, 6+).

On the flipside, Audacy CHR KLUC erodes by a full-share to 2.8 (seventh to ninth, 6+). “Las Vegas’ #1 Hit Music Station” had been +1.2 via four straight upticks (2.6 – 2.7 – 2.8 – 3.6 – 3.8, 6+).

Orlando

Despite being down or flat the past three months for net -1.7 (11.0 – 11.0 – 10.3 – 9.3, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WMGF “Magic 107.7” is #1 the seventh survey period in a row. Entering the May sweep, “Magic” had been in double-digits six consecutive times: 14.5 – 21.0 – 10.8 – 11.0 – 11.0 – 10.3 (6+).

The internet stream of Cox Media Group Spanish Contemporary WPYO “El Zol 95.3” bests its February stat by more than nine-times and is an overall +1.7 via three straight gains (.2 – .5 – .6 – 1.9, #20 to #16, 6+). Meanwhile, WPYO’s FM signal is down two-tenths (3.9 – 3.7, 6+) and is unchanged at #12.

Eroding by -1.1 are Audacy Classic Hits WOCL “105.9 Sunny FM” (8.2 – 7.1, second to third, 6+) and iHeartMedia’s Rock-formatted “101.1 WJRR” (4.3 – 3.2, #10 to #13, 6+). This is the third straight decline by “Sunny” for a net -1.7 (8.8 – 8.3 – 8.2 – 7.1, 6+).

Cincinnati

After four sweeps in succession without a loss that generated three full-shares (8.2 – 9.0 – 9.0 – 9.6 – 11.2, 6+), iHeartMedia News/Talk “700 WLW” relinquishes roughly half that bounty with a -1.6 to 9.6 (6+). The Reds flagship – which spent the last three months at #1 – drops to #2. Overtaking WLW is Hubbard Broadcasting-owned/Country-formatted WUBE “B-105,” which is in a rotating up/down pattern that commenced in “Holiday” 2025 (6.2 – 9.7 – 8.3 – 9.5 – 9.2 – 9.7, second to first, 6+).

It wouldn’t be much of a stretch to proclaim the 90 episodes of CBS’ “WKRP In Cincinnati” (September 1978 – April 1982) had a massive, loyal following of radio industry professionals. All of us could easily identify with Program Director “Andy Travis” (Gary Sandy); General Manager “Arthur Carlson” (Gordon Jump); morning drive and nighttime talents “Dr. Johnny Fever” (Howard Hesseman) and “Venus Flytrap (Tim Reid), respectively; Sales Manager “Herb Tarlek” (Frank Bonner); and newsman Les Nessman (Richard Sanders). Meanwhile, we’d hope to have a receptionist like “Jennifer Marlowe” (Loni Anderson) and a traffic person such as “Bailey Quarters” (Jan Smithers). Early last month (5-6), Radioactive LLC owner Randy Michaels resurrected the fictitious WKRP calls and marketing includes Gary Sandy voicing promos. Classic Hits “The Real WKRP” debuts with a 2.0 (#12, 6+).

Dipping by a modest four-tenths each are Cincinnati Public Radio’s WVXU (5.0 – 4.6, flat in fourth-place, 6+) and iHeartMedia Rock-formatted “102.7 WEBN” (3.3 – 2.9, 6+), which remains in seventh-place. This is WVXU’s fourth straight downward move for an overall -1.2 (5.8 – 5.6 – 5.2 – 5.0 – 4.6, 6+). In three straight sweeps without an increase, WEBN is off an overall nine-tenths (3.8 – 3.8 – 3.3 – 2.9, 6+).

Cleveland

In May, iHeartMedia-owned WTAM repeats both its #1 ranking and its 10.2 share (6+). “News Radio 1100 AM” posted a massive +2.1 this time last month.

Fully erasing its combined -.9 in March and April (6.1 – 5.6 – 5.2, 6+) with a full-share increase to 6.2 (6+), iHeartMedia Country “99.5 WGAR” leaps from ninth to fifth.

Slipping by nine-tenths each are Urban One Urban AC “93.1 WZAK” (7.5 – 6.7, third to fourth, 6+) and iHeartMedia Adult Hits WHLK “106.5 The Lake” (5.2 – 4.4, #9 to #11, 6+). Whereas WZAK had been within 7.2 – 7.6 range (6+) in each of the last six sweeps, “The Lake” registered a 6+-stat between 5.0 – 5.7 in each of the last seven survey periods.

Kansas City

Steel City Media CHR KMXV “Mix 93.3” regains the one-tenth it lost in April (6.7 – 6.6 – 6.7, 6+) and is #1 the fourth month in a row. Entering the April sweep, “Mix” posted five straight sweeps without a loss that netted a +1.9 (4.8 – 5.0 – 5.0 – 5.9 – 6.0 – 6.7, 6+).

As a result of duplicating April’s increase of eight-tenths, KMXV’s Adult Hits cluster-mate, KCKC “102.1 Bob FM,” zooms from seventh to third and reaches a five-share (3.4 – 4.2 – 5.0, 6+). Wavering by one full-share in April (4.7 – 3.7, 6+), Carter Broadcast Group Urban Contemporary KPRS “Hot 103 Jamz” responds with a May improvement of eight-tenths to 4.5 (eighth to sixth, 6+). KPRS was stuck on 4.9 (6+) in “Holiday” 2025 and January 2026 and then on 4.7 (6+) in February and March.

A combined +1.7 in March and April (3.0 – 3.5 – 4.7, 6+), Audacy-owned Country WDAF “106.5 The Wolf” plummets by -1.9 to 2.8 (6+) and tumbles from fifth to tenth. April’s 4.8 represented WDAF’s highest 6+-stat since November’s 6.8 (6+).

Columbus

Following four straight dips that resulted in an overall -.8 (8.2 – 7.7 – 7.5 – 7.4, 6+), iHeartMedia Country-formatted “92.3 WCOL” picks up three-tenths to 7.7 (6+) and is #1 the fifth time in succession. January’s 8.2 was its best 6+-stat since July 2025’s 8.6 (6+).

Owing to May’s gain of seven-tenths to 6.3 (fifth to third, 6+), iHeartMedia CHR WNCI “97.9 Columbus Hit Music” pulls the plug on three straight downward moves that accounted for a -2.1 (7.7 – 6.5 – 5.8 – 5.6, 6+).

Saga Communications Adult Contemporary WSNY “Sunny 95,” which notched a full-share increase this time last month, forfeits a -1.6 to 5.1 (6+) and backslides from second to seventh. In a similar situation, after April’s +1.5, North American Broadcasting Company Classic Country WJKR “103.9 The Maverick” regresses by a full-share (4.7 – 3.7, eighth to tenth, 6+). “The Maverick” more than doubled (net +2.5) its 6+-topline in five straight up or flat trends (2.2 – 2.2 – 3.1 – 3.1 – 3.2 – 4.7, 6+). Within 4.0 – 4.6 range (6+) in each of the last six sweeps (4.4 – 4.0 – 4.6 – 4.0 – 4.2 – 4.3, 6+), iHeartMedia’s WTVN “News Radio 610” spirals by -1.1 to 3.2 (6+) and departs the top ten (#9 to #12).

Round Four

Austin

An overall -1.1 the previous three months (10.8 – 10.1 – 10.0 – 9.7, February – March – April, 6+), University of Texas at Austin-owned News/Talk “KUT 90.5” posts a May increase of eight-tenths to 10.5 (6+) and threepeats at #1.

Two iHeartMedia siblings improve by one full-share: KASE “Austin’s #1 For New Country” (5.5 – 6.5, fifth to third, 6+) and CHR KHFI “96.7 Kiss FM” (4.0 – 5.0, seventh to sixth, 6+). This time last month, KASE was up one-tenth (5.4 – 5.5, 6+), while “Kiss” gained seven-tenths (3.3 – 4.0, 6+).

The three most recent variations by University of Texas at Austin Triple A “KUTX 98.9” have been +1.7 (March); +1.6 (April); but now May’s -1.8 (7.5 – 5.7, third to fourth, 6+). Entering The May sweep, KUTX essentially doubled (net +3.7) its 6+-topline as a result of three straight surges (3.8 – 4.2 – 5.9 – 7.5, 6+).

Raleigh

Owing to a May gain of six-tenths (following April’s -1.7), North Carolina at Chapel Hill-owned WUNC continues an alternating up/down pattern that began last November: 10.2 – 10.3 – 9.6 – 11.4 – 10.5 – 11.1 – 9.4 – 10.0 (6+); “North Carolina Public Radio” is #1 the 14th consecutive time.

Tacking on nine-tenths to April’s +.3 (3.1 – 3.4 – 4.3, 6+), Curtis Media Group Regional Mexican WYMY “La Ley 101.1” enters the top ten (#11 to #10, 6+).

A combined +2.4 in March and April (6.6 – 7.3 – 9.0, 6+), Capitol Broadcasting Adult Contemporary WRAL “Mix 101.5” surrenders a full-share to 8.0 (6+), but continues in second-place. In February, “Mix” cratered by -3.1 (9.7 – 6.6, -3.1, 6+), dipping below a seven-share (6.6, 6+) for the first time since October 2025’s 6.8. After netting a +3.9 in February and March (4.7 – 7.9 – 8.6, 6+), Curtis Media Group Adult Hits WBBB “96.1 BBB” is a collective -3.3 in April and May (8.6 – 6.8 – 5.3, fourth to seventh, 6+).

Indianapolis

Following March’s three-way deadlock at #1 and a traditional tie in April, Urban One Urban AC “106.7 WTLC-FM” (8.0 – 7.7, -.3, 6+) emerges in sole possession of the lead. WTLC-FM was a combined +1.5 in March and April (6.5 – 7.0 – 8.0, 6+). Prior to April’s 8.0 (6+), it last recorded an eight-share (6+) in September 2025 (8.7, 6+). Meanwhile, after four straight months at the top, iHeartMedia Classic Rock WFBQ “Q-95” falters by six-tenths (8.0 – 7.4, 6+) and segues to the runner-up slot. “Q-95” was an overall +2.7 in three increases in a row (5.1 – 6.7 – 7.7 – 7.8, 6+); dropped four-tenths in March; but garnered six-tenths in April (7.4 – 8.0, 6+). .

Including May’s +1.1, Sarkes Tarzian Triple A WTTS “92.3 Experience The Music” maintains a rotating up/down pattern that commenced in “Holiday” 2025: 2.8 – 3.0 – 2.8 – 4.0 – 3.8 – 4.9 (eighth to sixth, 6+).

Tied at #1 in March, Urban One-owned WIBC “93.1 Indy’s News Center” has its fourth straight downward trend for an overall -1.4 (7.7 – 7.5 – 7.4 – 7.1 – 6.3, third to fourth, 6+).

Milwaukee

Within 8.4 – 8.8 range (6+) the fifth straight sweep (8.8 – 8.8 – 8.6 – 8.8 – 8.4, January through May, 6+), iHeartMedia Classic Hits WRIT “95.7 Big FM” repeats at #1.

Good Karma Brands-owned News/Talk “620 WTMJ – Wisconsin’s Radio Station” improves by eight-tenths (5.1 – 5.9, 6+) as the flagship of the Brewers and Bucks progresses from sixth to fourth. Unchanged at #13, Saga Communications-owned WRXS also notches a May gain of eight-tenths (2.4 – 3.2, 6+). “Pure Oldies 106.9” had a January through April topline of: 2.7 – 2.8 – 2.8 – 2.4 (6+).

Without an increase the fourth consecutive month for an overall -2.4 (10.1 – 10.1 – 10.1 – 8.6 – 7.7, 6+), iHeartMedia’s WISN  continues in second-place. Before shifting to the runner-up slot in “Holiday” 2025, “News/Talk 1130” was on top an amazing 29 times in a row and regained the lead the first three months of this year.

Nashville

Not only is Midwest Communications Adult Contemporary WJXA a net +3.7 in three straight upticks – and – in double digits the seventh straight time (12.4 – 16.8 – 11.4 – 11.3 – 13.0 – 14.7 – 15.0, 6+), “Mix 92.9” sets the pace the ninth survey period in a row. After posting a topline between 3.0 – 3.8 (6+) in each of the last nine sweeps (September 2025 through April 2026), Cromwell Radio Group Alternative WBUZ “102.9 The Buzz” breaks out a +1.3 to 5.1 (6+) and vaults from ninth to fifth. In a somewhat similar vein, Midwest Communications Classic Country WNFN was in 1.2 – 1.7 range (6+) six successive times (December 2025 through April 2026), but “Y’all 106.7” absolutely erupts with a +2.3 to 3.9 (6+) and cracks the top ten (#12 to #9).

Three market outlets regress by at least one full-share: Nashville Public Radio-owned News/Talk WPLN (6.1 – 5.0, -1.1, fourth to sixth, 6+); WAY Media Contemporary Christian WAYM “Way FM” (3.3 – 2.2, also -1.1, #10 to #11, 6+); and iHeartMedia’s WLAC “Talk Radio 1510 AM & 98.3 FM” (2.5 – 1.5, -1.0, #11 to #12, 6+).

Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WZLV “K-Love” answers April’s loss of four-tenths (4.0 – 3.6, 6+) with a May increase more than twice that magnitude and enters the top ten (3.6 – 4.5, -.9, #12 to #6, 6+).

Its six most recent (6+) fluctuations have been: +1.0 (“Holiday” 2025); +1.3 (January); -1.0 (February); -1.3 (March); -2.3 (April) and May’s +3.0. While the May uptick by Cox Media Group-owned Adult Contemporary WEZI is half that of WJKV, it’s still a highly-impressive +1.5 (5.1 – 6.6, +1.5, 6+), as “Easy 102.9” leaps from eighth to fifth.

When including May’s -1.3, Cox Media Group Classic Hits WJGL “96.9 The Eagle” (flat at #2) continues an alternating up/down pattern that surfaced last October: 10.4 – 11.0 – 9.8 – 10.2 – 10.0 – 11.0 – 9.2 – 10.4 – 9.1 (6+). “The Eagle” dislodged WEJZ from the lead in February.

Down eight-tenths, Hubbard Broadcasting-owned Classic Hits WEAT carries on a rotating up/down pattern that began last December: 14.5 – 19.2 – 12.9 – 15.9 – 15.5 – 15.7 – 14.9 (6+). “Sunny 107.9” is both #1 the ninth time in a row – and – in double-digits the ninth straight time (11.6 – 13.3 – 14.5 – 19.2 – 12.9 – 15.9 – 15.5 – 15.7 – 14.9, 6+). January’s -6.3 ended WEAT’s string of seven successive increases that netted an astonishing +14.3 (4.9 – 5.3 – 6.6 – 8.8 – 11.6 – 13.3 – 14.5 – 19.2, 6+).

Not only does “97.9 WRMF” have the second loftiest (6+) April 2026 – May 2026 increase among all stations in the 48 PPM-markets, May’s +2.6 to 10.7 (6+) enables the Hubbard Broadcasting Hot AC to reach double-digits for the first time since September’s 2022’s 10.5 (6+). Expunging March and April’s combined loss of eight-tenths (3.1 – 3.0 – 2.3, 6+) with May’s +1.2 to 3.5 (6+), Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WFLV “K-Love 90.7” inches up from ninth to eighth.

In contrast to “K-Love,” WAY Media’s similarly-formatted WAYF “Way FM” erodes by -2.8 to 3.3 (6+) and slips from third to ninth. Owing to March and April’s combined +3.8 (2.3 – 3.4 – 6.1, 6+), “Way FM” essentially tripled the 2.0 (6+) it recorded last December.

There’s a major development in “The Triad,” as WQMG “97.1 QMG,” which had been in double-digits a staggering 64 straight times, craters by -2.6 to 9.3 (6+). Moreover, after four straight months at #1, the Audacy Urban AC falls to third-place and is a combined -3.3 in April and May (12.6 – 11.9 – 9.3, 6+). Prior to shifting to the runner-up slot in December, WQMG was #1 for 11 straight sweeps. Overtaking “97.1 QMG” is co-owned Adult Hits WSMW, which is actually a combined -1.4 in April and May (12.3 – 11.3 – 10.9, second to first, 6+). Entering the April sweep, “98.7 Simon” was a net +4.3 via three successive spikes (8.0 – 9.5 – 10.4 – 12.3, 6+).

A gigantic net -12.6 in four straight sweeps without an increase (21.5 – 10.7 – 9.9 – 8.9 – 8.9, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary WMAG “Mix 99.5” hauls out a May increase of nine-tenths to 9.8 (6+) and progresses from third to second. WMAG’s 21.5 was the highest 6+-stat in the “Holiday” 2025 sweep by any station in the 48 PPM-markets.

Dropping six-tenths each are Audacy-owned WJMH “102 Jamz” (5.8 – 5.2, flat in fifth-place, 6+) and iHeartMedia Country WTQR “Q-104.1” (4.5 – 3.9, seventh to eighth, 6+). “Jamz” was up nine-tenths in April; in three straight losses, “Q-104.1” is a collective -1.6 (5.5 – 5.3 – 4.5 – 3.9, 6+).

Despite dropping six-tenths to 13.1 (6+), iHeartMedia Urban AC KJMS is #1 the 31st time in a row. “V-101” had been a net +1.4 the three previous months (12.3 – 12.7 – 13.5 – 13.7, 6+).

Audacy Adult Contemporary WRVR trended 8.9 – 8.7 – 8.4 (6+) the first three months of the year – but – “104.5 The River” has escalated by a combined +2.3 in April and May (8.4 – 9.4 – 10.7, 6+). “The River” repeats in the runner-up slot and is back in double-digits (10.7, 6+) for the first time since “Holiday” 2025’s 12.8 (6+). After back-to-back losses of -1.1 (5.2 – 4.1 – 3.0, 6+), Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WKVF “K-Love” reverses that margin of variation with May’s +1.1 to 4.1 (seventh to sixth, 6+).

Five straight sweeps without a loss netted iHeartMedia Urban-Rhythmic Oldies WDIA a +1.4 (2.4 – 2.6 – 3.1 – 3.1 – 3.4 – 3.8, 6+). In May, however, “AM 1070” loses a full-share to 2.8 (sixth to seventh, 6+).

At this time last month, Audacy Adult Contemporary WRCH relinquished the top spot it held for 22 consecutive sweeps and slipped to second-place. Although flat in May – and a combined -1.9 the past three months (11.8 – 10.7 – 9.9 – 9.9, 6+) – “Lite 100.5” returns to #1. Entering the April survey period, “Lite” had been in double-digits (6+) 19 straight times. WRCH, however, isn’t alone in the penthouse. The station that dislodged it in April, iHeartMedia’s WWYZ, repeats at #1, but is down a full-share (10.9 – 9.9, 6+). “Country 92.5” was a combined +2.5 in March and April (8.4 – 9.7 – 10.9, 6+)

As a result of three straight upswings, including May’s +1.1, Audacy Hot AC WTIC-FM “96.5 TIC” is a collective +1.6 (5.8 – 6.1 – 6.3 – 7.4, 6+) and climbs from sixth to fourth.

Following consecutive full-share surges (5.5 – 6.5 – 7.5, 6+), iHeartMedia Classic Hits WHCN “The River 105.9” surrenders nine-tenths to 6.6 (fourth to sixth, 6+). Prior to April 2026, “The River” last hit a seven-share (6+) in August 2025 (7.3, 6+).
