Shown here are my takeaways from all 48 PPM-measured markets, based on Nielsen Audio’s 6+ total week stats from the March 2026 ratings period.

Round One

New York

Unseated from the top spot in January following a remarkable string of 41 straight #1 showings, iHeartMedia-owned Adult Contemporary WLTW “106.7 Lite FM” returns to the penthouse and repeats February’s 7.4 (second to first, 6+). After back-to-back stays at #1, Audacy all-News WINS-FM “1010 WINS at 92.3 FM” (7.8 – 7.2, -.6, 6+) shifts to the runner-up slot. In January and February, WINS-FM was a combined +1.6 (6.2 – 7.5 – 7.8, 6+).

Including March’s increase of eight-tenths, Audacy Hot AC WNEW “NEW 102.7” is an overall +1.2 via three straight upticks (3.4 – 3.7 – 3.8 – 4.6, tenth to seventh, 6+). This (4.6) is WNEW-FM’s best 6+-showing in over a year (4.7, 6+, January 2025).

Conversely, Spanish Broadcasting System Spanish Tropical WSKQ “La Mega 97.9” falters by eight-tenths and is a collective -1.4 in three consecutive decreases (5.6 – 5.4 – 5.0 – 4.2, fourth to ninth, 6+).

Los Angeles

A combined -7.1 in January and February (13.3 – 6.3 – 6.2, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KOST rebounds with an uptick of three-tenths in March to 6.5 (6+) and is #1 the fifth time in a row. From September through “Holiday” 2025, “Coast 103.5” more than doubled (net +7.8) its 6+-topline (5.5 – 5.7 – 6.5 – 11.2 – 13.3, 6+).

It’s an Adult Contemporary – Hot AC one/two finish, as KOST’s Hot AC cluster-mate, KBIG “104.3 My FM,” registers its sixth consecutive sweep without a loss for a net gain of one full-share (4.9 – 4.9 – 4.9 – 5.1 – 5.3 – 5.3 – 5.9, third to second, 6+).

Although off eight-tenths and slipping from second to third, Audacy Classic Hits KRTH “K-Earth 101” nonetheless has a relatively steady December 2025 through March 2026 topline of: 5.8 – 5.6 – 5.7 – 5.8 – 5.0 (6+).

After a one-month hiatus as non-subscribers, Univision Regional Mexican KSCA and co-owned Spanish Contemporary KLVE return at #9 and #14, respectively.

Chicago

Despite being up or flat the fourth time in a row for a collective +1.2 and reaching a six-share (4.8 – 5.1 – 5.9 – 5.9 – 6.0, 6+), Audacy-owned WBBM-AM & WCFS segues from first to second. “News Radio 780 & 105.9” had been on top the past two months, but is displaced by Triple A sibling WXRT “93 XRT,” which is a collective +1.6 owing to three straight improvements (4.5 – 5.4 – 5.6 – 6.1, second to first, 6+).

Leaping from #18 to #12, Audacy Sports Talk WSCR “104.3 The Score” picks up one-half share to 2.5 (6+). The flagship of the Bulls and Cubs thus halts three successive dips that accounted for a loss of nine-tenths (2.9 – 2.6 – 2.3 – 2.0, 6+).

Down seven-tenths and dropping from eighth to tenth, Chicago Public Media News/Talk WBEZ records a September 2025 through March 2026 topline of: 3.1 – 3.5 – 3.4 – 3.1 – 3.3 – 3.8 – 3.7 – 3.0 (6+).

After a one-month hiatus as a non-subscriber, Univision-owned Regional Mexican WOJO returns at #12.

San Francisco

Notwithstanding that KQED Inc.-owned public News/Talk KQED erodes by -1.3 (9.9 – 8.6, 6+), it is #1 the third time in succession; KQED had been a net +.8 via three straight gains (9.1 – 9.2 – 9.8 – 9.9, 6+). In March though, KQED has company at the top: Despite being down two-tenths (8.8 – 8.6, 6+), Audacy’s KCBS-AM & KFRC “All News 740 & 106.9” advances from second to a first-place tie.

Three straight modest decreases by Spanish Broadcasting System Regional Mexican KRZZ led to a collective dip of one-half share (2.5 – 2.3 – 2.2 – 2.0, 6+); however, “La Raza 93.3” answers by nearly doubling that magnitude with a +.9 to 2.9 (#14 to #10, 6+).

Owing to six straight sweeps without an increase – including March’s loss of one full-share – University of Southern California’s KDFC “Classical California” is a collective -2.4 (5.7 – 5.1 – 5.0 – 5.0 – 4.9 – 4.3 – 3.3, sixth to eighth, 6+).

After a one-month hiatus as non-subscribers, Univision Spanish Adult Hits KBRG and co-owned Regional Mexican KSOL return at #10 and #20, respectively.

Dallas

Similar to the situation in San Francisco (see above), there’s a deadlock at the top in this Texas market. Specifically, iHeartMedia Hot AC KDMX returns in total the seven-tenths it accrued this time last month (4.5 – 5.2 – 4.5, 6+); nonetheless, “Mix 102.9” is #1 the third time in a row. Down four-tenths in January (4.0 – 3.6, 6+), Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian KLTY “K-Love 94.9” responds with a combined +.9 in February and March (3.6 – 4.4 – 4.5, 6+), progressing from second to a first-place tie with “Mix.”

After a one-month hiatus as a non-subscriber, Univision Regional Mexican KLNO “Que Buena 94.1” picks up six-tenths to 4.2, its best 6+-stat since November 2025’s 4.4, and returns in fourth-place.

Including March’s loss of six-tenths, Audacy Regional Mexican KMVK “La Grande 107.5” is in an alternating down/up pattern that began last November: 3.4 – 2.9 – 3.3 – 3.2 – 3.3 – 2.7 (#9 to #14, 6+).

Houston

Down or flat the fourth time in a row for a net -7.4 (16.4 – 13.3 – 9.7 – 9.0 – 9.0, 6+), iHeartMedia Adult Contemporary KODA “Sunny 99.1” is nevertheless #1 the eighth consecutive time.

Locked on 5.0 (6+) in “Holiday” 2025 and January 2026, Urban One Classic Rock KGLK “The Eagle” dropped three-tenths in February to 4.7 (6+), but bounces back with a +.7 to 5.4 (sixth to fourth, 6+).

Factoring in March’s whopping -1.4, Hope Media Group Contemporary Christian “89.3 KSBJ God Listens” is in an alternating up/down sequence that started last December: 4.7 – 5.6 – 5.3 – 6.0 – 4.6 (fourth to sixth, 6+). An unlisted nonsubscriber in February, Univision Spanish Adult Hits KOVE “Amor 106.5” is -1.1 to 2.4 (6+) and reappears at #15.

Atlanta

After six successive sweeps at #1, Cox Media Group-owned WSB-AM fell to third this time last month. Owing to a massive March +1.9 (6.6 – 8.5, 6+), however, “Atlanta’s News & Talk” is back on top. It’s therefore a February-only stay at #1 for Urban One-owned Urban AC WAMJ (7.2 – 6.9, -.3, 6+), which trades places with WSB-AM in third-place. “Majic” had been a net +1.3 in three straight gains (5.9 – 6.0 – 6.2 – 7.2, 6+). In February, it reached a seven-share (6+) for the first time since September’s 7.1.

Improving by seven-tenths each are Audacy Urban Contemporary WVEE “V-103” (steady in fourth-place, 6+) and Cox Media Group Urban AC WALR “Kiss 104.1” (5.7 – 6.4, sixth to fifth). “V-103” is trending 6.1 – 6.2 – 6.0 – 6.7 (“Holiday” 2025 – March 2026, 6+). “Kiss” entered the February sweep a combined +.7 (6.0 – 6.4 – 6.7, 6+), but dropped a full-share to 5.7 (6+).

Including March’s loss of nine-tenths, Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WAIA “Air 1” (#11 to #13) continues an alternating up/down sequence that began in September: 3.7 – 4.2 – 4.0 – 4.5 – 2.8 – 3.3 – 2.4 (6+).

Philadelphia

Last month’s #1 tie between two Beasley Broadcast Group cluster-mates is resolved, as Classic Rock WMGK “102.9 MGK” repeats in first-place and is an overall +1.6 via four straight sweeps without a loss (5.5 – 5.9 – 6.6 – 7.1 – 7.1, 6+). Meanwhile, co-owned “93.3 WMMR Rocks” sputters by -1.3 (7.1 – 5.8, 6+) and tumbles from a first-place tie with WMGK to fifth-place. WMMR had been a combined +1.2 (5.9 – 7.1 – 7.1, 6+) and spent a February-only stay with WMGK at #1.

Meanwhile in the Urban One cluster, Urban Rhythmic Oldies WPPZ “Classix 107.9” (2.7 – 3.5, #14 to #13, 6+) and Urban AC sibling WRNB “100.3 RNB” (2,4 – 3.2, #17 to #15, 6+) each notch spikes of eight-tenths. WPPZ had been trending: 2.9 – 2.4 – 2.5 – 2.7 (November 2025 – February 2026, 6+), while WRNB had been within 2.0 – 2.9 range (6+) the past 13 survey periods.

Back in January, Audacy’s exploded by three full-shares (3.6 – 6.6, 6+), but “KYW News Radio” is now a combined -1.2 in February and March (6.6 – 6.3 – 5.4, fifth to sixth, 6+).

Nassau-Suffolk (Long Island)

Up a whopping four full-shares through three straight upticks and reaching double-digits (6.6 – 7.0 – 9.2 – 10.6, 6+), Audacy-owned all-News WINS now forfeits nearly half that gain with a -1.7 to 8.9 (6+). Nonetheless, “1010 WINS at 92.3 FM” is #1 the third straight month.

Posting March escalations of +1.4 and +1.1, respectively, are iHeartMedia CHR WHTZ “Z-100” (5.5 – 6.9, fourth to second, 6+) and Audacy Sports Talk WFAN “The Fan” (4.5 – 5.6 (sixth to fourth, 6+). The December 2025 through February 2026 topline for “Z-100” was: 5.6 – 5.6 – 5.8 – 5.5 (6+); “The Fan” (flagship of the Brooklyn Nets and Yankees) matches the 5.6 (6+) it recorded in October 2025.

On the heels of an impressive +1.7 (3.2 – 4.9, 6+), Estrella Media Regional Mexican KRQB “Que Buena 96.1” relinquishes all but a half-share to 3.7 (third to fifth, 6+). “Que Buena” had been off a collective six-tenths in three straight down or flat trends (3.8 – 3.4 – 3.2 – 3.2, 6+).

In addition to KLVE, after a one-month hiatus as non-subscribers, Univision Regional Mexican KSCA and co-owned Spanish Adult Hits KRCD return at #11 and #14, respectively.

San Jose

It with the utmost respect and nostalgia that I resurrect/modify a trusted Radio & Records “Street Talk” standby by stating Univision Spanish Adult Hits KBRG makes the “leap of the month” by going from unlisted February nonsubscriber status all the way to #1 (7.3, 6+). “Amor 100.3” actually reclaims that position as it was #1 in January. Trending 5.7 – 5.4 – 5.6 (January – February – March, 6+), Audacy-owned KCBS-AM has a February-only residency at the top and segues to the runner-up spot. “All News AM 740” logged a +1.6 in January (4.1 – 5.7, 6+).

In a somewhat similar situation (although less dramatic) as KBRG is its Regional Mexican cluster-mate, KSOL. “Que Buena” was unlisted in February, but on the strength of a +1.1 to 3.7 (6+), resurfaces in eighth-place.

Squandering one-half share each are: Bonneville Classic Rock KUFX “98.5 K-Fox” (4.7 – 4.2, fifth to sixth, 6+); Audacy Alternative KITS “Live 105” (2.6 – 2.1, #10 to #13, 6+); Audacy Sports Talk/Golden State Warriors flagship KGMZ-FM “95.7 The Game” (2.0 – 1.5, #13 to #15, 6+); and Audacy Rhythmic Hot AC KRBQ “102.1 Jams” with an identical profile as KGMZ-FM (2.0 – 1.5, #13 to #15, 6+).

In addition to KRBQ and KSOL, after a one-month hiatus as a non-subscriber, Univision Spanish CHR KVVF returns at #17.

Middlesex-Somerset-Union

An overall +1.6 via three successive additions (7.0 – 7.5 – 7.7 – 8.6, 6+), iHeartMedia Classic Rock WAXQ “Q-104.3” slips by six-tenths to 8.0 (6+), but remains at #1 the third straight month.

Tacking on a full-share to February’s modest gain of one-tenth (1.9 – 2.0 – 3.0, 6+), Spanish Broadcasting System Spanish Contemporary WPAT “Amor 93.1” inches up from #15 to #13.

Including March’s loss of eight-tenths, University of Missouri at Kansas City News/Talk “KCUR 89.3” continues an alternating down/up pattern that surfaced last December: 3.0 – 2.7 – 3.7 – 3.5 – 2.7 (flat at #14, 6+).

Columbus

Even though it follows February’s half-share loss with a modest -.2 (8.2 – 7.7 – 7.5, 6+), iHeartMedia Country-formatted “92.3 WCOL” is #1 the third month in a row. January’s 8.2 was its best 6+-stat since July 2025’s 8.6.

As a result of four slumps in a row, Tegna Sports Talk WBNS-FM “97.1 The Fan” recorded a net loss of more than five full-shares (11.0 – 10.1 – 7.7 – 7.0 – 5.8, 6+). In March, however, the Blue Jackets flagship answers with a half-share increase to 6.3 (6+) and progresses from sixth to second.

Round Four

Austin

Four consecutive November 2025 – February 2026 surges by Waterloo Media Group Adult Hits KBPA resulted in an overall gain of three full-shares (7.8 – 8.1, 8.7 – 9.8 – 10.8, 6+). In March, however, “103.5 Bob FM ” forfeits an astounding -2.2 to 8.6 (6+); after a February-only residence at #1, it takes over in second-place. Meanwhile, albeit a combined -.8 in February and March (10.8 – 10.1 – 10.0, 6+), University of Texas at Austin-owned News/Talk “KUT 90.5” (#1 in January) again trades places with “Bob.” Prior to being dislodged in “Holiday” 2025, KUT spent five straight sweeps at the top.

Catapulting from eighth to third, University of Texas at Austin Triple A “KUTX 98.9” more than quadruples February’s increase of four-tenths with a gigantic +1.7 (3.8 – 4.2 – 5.9, 6+).

In February, WBBB fully removed a combined -3.0 in “Holiday” 2025 and January 2026 with a colossal +3.2 to 7.9 (6+). This time last month, “Mix” eroded by -3.1 (9.7 – 6.6, -3.1, 6+), dipping below a seven-share (6.6, 6+) for the first time since October 2025’s 6.8. Meanwhile, WRDU is trending 2.8 – 2.6 – 2.1 – 2.2 – 2.9 (December 2025 – March 2026).

Indianapolis

Here’s something we don’t see very often in the PPM-era: A THREE-WAY tie at #1. Principals involved in the stalemate at the top are: iHeartMedia Classic Rock WFBQ “Q-95” (7.8 – 7.4, -.4, third straight month at #1); Urban One-owned WIBC “93.1 Indy’s News Center” (7.5 – 7.4, -.1, second to a first-place tie, 6+); and WIBC’s Adult Contemporary sibling WYXB “B-105.7” (6.8 – 7.4, +.6, third to a first-place tie). In three straight gains, “Q-95” had been a combined +2.7 (5.1 – 6.7 – 7.7 – 7.8, 6+). As a result of January’s +1.9 to 7.7 (6+), WIBC recaptured approximately three-quarters of its combined -2.5 the two previous survey periods (8.3 – 8.0 – 5.8, 6+). Answering January’s massive -7.9  (13.7 – 5.7, 6+), WYXB nets a +1.6 in February and March (5.8 – 6.8 – 7.4, 6+). “B-105.7” spent four straight sweeps at #1 (October 2025 through “Holiday” 2025). There was a more conventional two-way tie for the lead in January when WFBQ and WIBC were deadlocked.

Advancing by a +1.2, Sarkes Tarzian-owned Triple A WTTS “92.3 Experience The Music” is trending: 2.8 – 3.0 – 2.8 – 4.0 (“Holiday” 2025 – March 2026, tenth to eighth, 6+).

Four straight upticks by Urban One Urban Contemporary WHHH generated a combined +1.9 (3.0 – 3.3 – 3.6 – 4.3 – 4.9, 6+); in March, however, “Hot 100.9” falters by eight-tenths to 4.1 (sixth to seventh, 6+).

Milwaukee

Not only is iHeartMedia-owned WISN #1 the third month in a row, “News/Talk 1130” has posted a 10.1 (6+) all three times. Prior to shifting to the runner-up slot in “Holiday” 2025, WISN was on top a stunning 29 times in succession. “News Talk 1130” was a combined -2.2 in December and “Holiday” 2025 (9.8 – 8.4 – 7.6, 6+), but emphatically answered with a +2.5 in January 2026 (7.6 – 10.1, 6+).

Up seven-tenths and in seventh-place, Saga Communications Urban AC WJMR “Jammin’ 98.3” records a topline between 4.1 – 4.9 for the tenth (10th) straight time (4.8 – 4.7 – 4.9 – 4.5 – 4.9 – 4.4 – 4.3 – 4.2 – 4.1 – 4.8, 6+).

Conversely, iHeartMedia Urban Contemporary WKKV “V-100.7” falters by seven-tenths to 4.8 (6+) and ties “Jammin” in seventh-place; WKKV had been an overall +.6 in three straight sweeps without a loss (4.9 – 5.0 – 5.5 – 5.5, 6+).

Factoring in March’s gain of eight-tenths, Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WLVU “K-Love 97.1” is an overall +2.8 in three successive spikes (3.8 – 5.4 – 5.8 – 6.6, sixth to third, 6+).

Off six-tenths, iHeartMedia Urban Contemporary WUBT “101.1 The Beat” has a “Holiday” 2025 – March 2026 topline of: 4.0 – 4.7 – 4.6 – 4.0 (seventh to eighth, 6+).

Providence

A net +2.8 since “Holiday” 2025 (6.6 – 7.5 – 9.1 – 9.4, 6+), Hall Communications-owned WCTK “Cat Country 98.1” repeats at #1. February’s 9.1 (6+) marked the first time “Cat Country” reached a nine-share since November 2025’s 9.2.

There are no wildly outrageous (6+) February 2026 – March 2026 fluctuations: Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WLVO “K-Love 95.5” gains one-half share to 3.6 (6+) and is steady in sixth-place. “K-Love” was up three-tenths in February (2.8 – 3.1, 6+).

Meanwhile, iHeartMedia Hot AC WSNE “Now 93.3” has a modest dip of three-tenths (5.4 – 5.1, 6+), continuing in fourth-place. “Now” is a combined -1.2 in February and March (6.3 – 5.4 – 5.1, 6+).

Its December 2025 gain of four-tenths halted three consecutive decreases that accounted for a net loss of one full-share (10.9 – 10.6 – 10.1 – 9.9, 6+).

A +1.4 to 5.6 (eighth to fourth, 6+) by Saga Communications Classic Rock WAFX “106.9 The Fox” more than offsets its combined -.9 in January and February (5.1 – 4.4 – 4.2, 6+).

In 2.0 – 2.9 range (6+) in each of the last eleven (11) survey periods, Sinclair Telecable Alternative WROX “96-X” regresses by seven-tenths to 1.5 (#14 to #17, 6+).

Jacksonville

Turnaround proves to be fair play: With a hefty +1.6 (10.0 – 11.6, 6+) – Renda Media Adult Contemporary “96.1 WEJZ” progresses from second to first, replacing Cox Media Group Classic Hits WJGL “96.9 The Eagle” (11.0 – 9.2, -1.8, 6+). This time last month, “The Eagle” ousted WEJZ from the penthouse. After threepeating at #1, WEJZ” segued to the runner-up slot. “The Eagle” improved by one full-share in February (10.0 – 11.0, 6+) and had been in double-digits five of the last six sweeps (10.4 – 11.0 – 9.8 – 10.1 – 10.0 – 11.0, 6+).

Without an increase the past four survey periods for an overall -1.5 (5.1 – 5.1 – 4.5 – 3.7 – 3.6, 6+), Renda Media-owned WGNE “99.9 Gator Country” erases all but two-tenths of that deficit with a +1.3 to 4.9 (tenth to ninth, 6+).

A combined +2.3 in “Holiday” 2025 and January 2026 (5.1 – 6.1 – 7.4, 6+), Educational Media Foundation Contemporary Christian WJKV “K-Love 90.9” returns exactly all that windfall in February and March (7.4 – 6.4 – 5.1, -2.3, fourth to eighth, 6+)

West Palm Beach

Although off four-tenths, Hubbard Broadcasting-owned Classic Hits WEAT “Sunny 107.9” is both #1 the seventh time in a row and in double-digits the seventh straight time (11.6 – 13.3 – 14.5 – 19.2 – 12.9 – 15.9 – 15.5, 6+). January’s -6.3 ended WEAT’s string of seven successive increases that netted an astonishing +14.3 (4.9 – 5.3 – 6.6 – 8.8 – 11.6 – 13.3 – 14.5 – 19.2, 6+).

Within 2.0 – 2.8 range the past six sweeps (2.8 – 2.1 – 2.0 – 2.6 – 2.4 – 2.3, 6+), WAY Media Contemporary Christian WAYF “Way FM” breaks out a +1.1 to 3.4 (ninth to seventh, 6+), nearly equaling 2025’s 3.5 (6+).
